EXCLUSIVE: Kathryn Dennis Worried About Getting Fired From ‘Southern Charm’ Amid Addiction Drama!
Southern Charm star, Kathryn Dennis, is back in Charleston, after a rollercoaster ride of a summer.
A custody battle setback mixed with reunion drama proved to be a true reality mashup for the 24-year-old mother of two. Kathryn spent a few weeks in California, seeking treatment for addiction issues, later abandoning the facility, eventually making her way back east, a little under a week ago.
Many fans are wondering when Kathryn plans to resume her mommy duties, as Kensie, 2, and Saint, 9 months, have been under the sole care of their father, Thomas Ravenel, for several weeks. A judge gave Kathryn shared custody in June, and although her time with the children must be supervised, she has kept any clear involvement with the kids to sharing a couple of photos posted by their father.
A source tells AllAboutTheTea.com that Kathryn’s current concern simply doesn’t lie with being a hands-on mom. Kathryn’s reality career hangs in the balance, after she was officially exposed as a drug user, right before the Southern Charm reunion taping. An insider claims that Kathryn’s own choices have her worried.
“Kathryn is more desperately worried that Bravo isn’t going to hire her back, than she is to rectify her custody issues,” claims the source. “It’s sad.”
The final push that ultimately nudged Kathryn into treatment, a stint which is believed to have been funded by Ravenel, remains unclear. While it’s a no-brainer to assume that such a move could have potentially landed Kathryn in a better light with the courts, demands from a concerned network appear to be in play. Several in last season’s cast expressed an unwillingness to film with Kathryn, and inside players alleged that “drug-fueled rages,” and destructive episodes with production made for a stressful work environment.
Kathryn’s decision to abandon treatment early may prove to be a costly one. Her children are well cared for, but her career as a reality star might not be as secure. Do you think that Kathryn will be welcomed back as a full-time Charmer?
