Luann de Lesseps Announces She’s Drinking Again After Drunken Arrest & Rehab!
Luann de Lesseps is hitting the bottle again!
The Real Housewives of New York City star has announced that she’s started drinking again occasionally.
“New Year’s has been a time of reflection. I’ve learned a great deal about myself, and I’m in a very good place and finally back in the drivers seat,” Luann de Lesseps said. “I’ve always said my journey is day by day. I’m toasting to a happy new year ahead!” Luann de Lesseps tells PEOPLE.
In August 2019, The Real Housewives of New York City cabaret performer wrapped up her probation over a 2017 arrest for assaulting a police officer.

“Hi my friends, I’m happy to say after a difficult year… I’ve made it through! I’m humbled and grateful for this life lesson and ready to put the past behind me and move on with my life,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “Wish me luck! Thank you for your undying support over the year. Love always, Luann.”
The cabaret singer also touched upon closing that chapter in her life on WWHL during BravoCon in November 2019.
“It feels great. It’s behind me and I can move on in my life and be a badass with all the Housewives of New York again,” she said at the time.
Luann de Lesseps has been to rehab twice throughout her sobriety journey, but she’s putting all of that behind her and looking forward to a brighter future. “So happy to put 2019 behind me! 2020 vision all the way,” she wrote on Instagram.
