Jules Wainstein Served With Divorce Papers From Husband Michael Who “Cheated With Good Friend” #RHONY
Jules Wainstein has officially been served with divorce papers, and has hired the law firm that represented her Real Housewives of New York co-star, Bethenny Frankel, in her long contentious divorce from Jason Hoppy.
Michael’s divorce petition was filed in New York court, on July 15th, according to documents snagged by Daily Mail. A hearing has been set for September 8th, when a judge will hear both sides on a motion to decide temporary support during divorce, aka ‘pendente lite support.’ Presumably, Jules is requesting monthly support from Michael, during the sure to be lengthy battle. The couple has been married eight years, and have two children, Jagger, 5, and Rio, 3.

The case comes after months of nasty exchanges between Jules and Michael, who still share the same NYC home. Bravo documented Jules complaining of Michael’s late home arrivals, excessive showering, and mysterious phone calls, on RHONY. Jules called police earlier this year, accusing Michael of threatening behavior, after she supposedly discovered the cheating. A friend of the reality star spilled the tea to the outlet, on the venture capitalist’s temper, and his supposed ongoing affair.
“He’s volatile,’” said the friend, adding, “You do the math. He was texting her back in January,” revealing that Michael had been involved in an ongoing affair with one of Jules’ close pals.
Michael later fired back, accusing Jules, who stands a head taller than Michael, of physical abuse.
Jules has hired the law firm, Aronson Mayefsky & Sloan, to represent her in the sure to be rocky divorce. She alluded to the split in a recent Bravo blog, noting betrayal as part of her story.
“It was so difficult to watch the beginning of the end unfold in this week’s episode, but I’ve come a long way since my life began to unravel this past winter, and my kids and I will be just fine – better than fine.” Jules wrote. “Truth is that it’s too easy to get caught up in your own reality, especially when you are blindsided and betrayed by someone who is supposed to be a partner and friend.”
Bethenny Frankel’s divorce war just wrapped, after years of back and forth struggle. The War of the Wainsteins has just begun.
