EXCLUSIVE: Angry Costco Members Get Teresa Giudice’s Fabellini Signing Canceled!!
Convicted Felon and ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ star, Teresa Giudice was scheduled to do a Fabellini Bottle Signing at Costco in Clifton, New Jersey on Friday, March 28th. However, the event was abruptly canceled by Costco.
Allegedly, a group of outraged citizens decided to take a stand for justice by reporting their deep dismay and objections to having a convicted felon promoting products at Costco. Earlier this week, Teresa tweeted flyers promoting the event and as of today all mentions of the event have since been removed from her Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts.
As it turns out, Costco has a strict Supplier Code of Ethics policy that all their suppliers must adhere to. Costco takes supplier integrity very seriously. The company has implemented a confidential ethics hotline so that anyone can report unethical suppliers. Supposedly, Teresa Giudice falls into that category.
This comes at the heels of newly released footage of Teresa Giudice and her team accepting cash only payments in exchange for her autograph and photo. We reported on the highly suspicious activity that has caused extreme reaction of shock and anger by many.
Below read a snippet of Costco’s Supplier Code of Ethics:
Costco Confidential Ethics Hotline for Suppliers
We have implemented a global confidential ethics hotline as part of our continuing efforts to assure compliance with our Code of Ethics, our Vendor Code of Conduct, and other legal and ethical policies. View Costco’s policy here.
This is a confidential tool available for use by any supplier who has reason to believe a Costco employee or supplier is in violation of these policies. (Transactional issues, such as deliveries, payments or other related items should not be addressed through this channel.)
We encourage supplier reports of possible violations of policy and other misconduct, including violations of:
- Antitrust and competition laws;
- The U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act;
- Insider trading restrictions;
- Accounting, financial reporting, and internal control rules;
- Health, safety, and environmental laws; and
- Costco’s Vendor Code of Conduct.
The hotline also allows suppliers to raise issues involving personal misconduct by Costco employees or employees of Costco suppliers, including:
- Conflicts of interest;
- Gifts, favors, entertainment, and other payments;
- Confidential information;
- Political contributions; and
- Discrimination and sexual harassment.
Contacts can be made confidentially. Reports will go the Office of the General Counsel and the Chief Compliance Officer, who will investigate and discuss with the appropriate senior executive officer.
UPDATE: Costco has permanently dropped ALL future Teresa Giudice hosted Fabellini appearances from all of their stores.
