RHOC’s Meghan King Announces She’s Gay After Divorces From Cuffe Biden Owens & Jim Edmonds!
Meghan King wants to be viewed apart from her romantic relationships. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum appeared on ‘The Tamron Hall Show’ Tuesday, where she opened up about putting her relationships in the spotlight.
“I’m done putting relationships on social media. I don’t want to be defined by them,” Meghan, 37, told Hall. ”You Google my name and you see all these relationships, I’m done with that. I think, most of the time when I date, my life intimidates people.”
Meghan was married to former MLB star, Jim Edmonds, for five years. The couple split in 2019 and their divorce was finalized in May 2021. The former Bravo star wed Cuffe Biden Owens only a few months later, in October 2021. The marriage was annulled the following July. Meghan admitted that the whirlwind marriage caused her to reassess how much she wants to publicly \share about her dating life.
Meghan confirmed that she was currently dating, but added that she would not be sharing specific details.
“That’s why I’m doing the podcast, to talk about it,” Meghan said. “But no names will be named.”
On Monday, Meghan restarted her podcast, ‘Intimate Knowledge,’ which debuted in January 2020. The show’s last episode was posted in April 2021. ‘Catfish’ host, Nev Schulman, whom Meghan briefly dated years ago, was Meghan’s guest. The pair discussed open relationships and Meghan explained that her traditional upbringing likely shaped her dating life.
“It’s interesting because the way that I grew up was very traditional — all the way through I went to Catholic school,” she told Nev, 37. “But I’ve hooked up with women… I’m not a lesbian, I must be somewhere on the gay spectrum. I mean we all are, everyone is.”
Meghan added—”I have had fun experiences, but I don’t look at women and think of them sexually…. But, like, I can be in the moment — but like it’s just a moment, it’s a passing moment. I think it’s a fun thing or something, it’s not I’m interested in this for life, for monogamy. I can’t even imagine that with another woman.”
“When I’m laying in my bed with my vibrator or something, I’m not thinking of a woman,” she clarified. “I’m thinking of a man every time.”
Meghan made headlines earlier this month when TMZ reported that on June 18, the former “Housewife” had filed a temporary restraining order against her ex, Jim Edmonds, accusing him of abuse.
The outlet reported that Meghan alleged that Jim displayed “frequent and consistent verbal abuse” toward her as they co-parented via the app, Family Wizard. Insiders told the outlet that the ex-couple’s conflict stemmed from co-parenting disputes. Meghan and Jim share three children, daughter, Aspen, 5, and twin boys, Hart and Hayes, 4.
Jim’s rep, Steve Honig, responded to the filing, telling TMZ—“This request for an order of protection is completely baseless and furthermore makes an absolute mockery of the pain suffered by the millions of women in this country who are legitimate victims of abuse.”
