Wendy Williams ‘Sickened’ By Talk Show’s Abrupt Cancelation, Refused To Film For Finale!
Wendy Williams is still hurt about her daytime talk show airing its last episode last week.
Sources close to Wendy Williams told The Sun that the host was incredibly sickened by how her show ended. “I know Wendy is incredibly hurt right now. Last week was a tough week for her,” the insider said, adding “It’s just horrible how everything ended.” The Wendy Williams Show aired its last episode on June 17 after 14 seasons on air. So many fans, including the host, were too heartbroken to accept the news.
The source went on to reveal, “Imagine if this was your baby that you’ve built all these years. How would you take it? And it is everywhere and it’s viral that it’s all over and it’s in your face — of course, she is hurt.” Reports had come out earlier this week that the show’s production company was planning on removing every trace of Wendy’s show from the studio.
On Monday, June 20, Wendy’s iconic billboard on 26 Street in Manhattan was taken down. This was one business day after the show’s last taping on Friday. By Tuesday morning, Wendy’s smiling poster on the side of the studio had already been removed. The show’s production also reported that most of The Wendy Williams Show memorabilia were going to be thrown in the trash.
A source close to the show told The Sun, “The wigs are still there since she didn’t come and get them, so they’re being thrown out. The chair is just going to be thrown out.” Fans were outraged that the company didn’t bother to preserve or donate the host’s things to the Museum. One fan tweeted, “I think it’s kinda foul and disrespectful to have the last episode of Wendy without Wendy. The ‘machine’ doesn’t care.”
The last episode of The Wendy Williams Show had a seven-minute tribute dedicated to the legendary host, though fans didn’t think the clip did any justice to Wendy’s impact on television. Another fan tweeted, “What’s crazy is the ‘tribute’ was just a montage of the episode promos they ran over the years.” A third fan added, “I think the Wendy Show paid a lovely tribute to Wendy Williams & captured her essence. Podcasting should be her next move because I think TV hinders her progress with her health.”
After nearly 14 years, "The Wendy Williams Show" aired its final episode today — without Williams in attendance.

Wendy didn’t appear on her show’s last episode. “She still said no. She’s not at peace with what happened. She’s not happy with it,” the source said.
