In a statement put out this week, The Wendy Williams Show’s production company announced it was coming to an end. “The final original episode of The Wendy Williams Show will air on Friday June 17 with a video tribute to the iconic host. The series comes to an end after 13 successful years of syndication.”

A source close to The Sun explained that since Wendy Williams didn’t come and pick up all her stuff, it will go to the trash. “The wigs are still there since she didn’t come and get them so they’re being thrown out.” Apart from her wigs, Wendy’s famous ‘Big Purple Chair’ that she loved will also get thrown out. The source went on to reveal that Wendy’s belongings aren’t being handled with the care they deserve.

They continued, “The chair is just going to be thrown out. Production is not even bothering to try to donate the chair to a museum like The View did with their original table after 10 years. They gave it to The Smithsonian.” The Wendy Williams Show reps have yet to confirm the fate of Wendy’s props that were on set. After the last episode aired on June 17, fans flooded Twitter with their disappointment on how the daytime talk show ended.

One Wendy Williams fan said, “Seems a little harsh don’t ya think? Why don’t they just sell it to her fans or I don’t know give them back to Wendy?” Another fan added that the production company was being very disrespectful. “Debmar-Mercury did our girl Wendy so so dirty – She did not want the show to end that way. They are tossing her set and famous chair… Where are you Mort Marcus & Ira Bernstein? You’ve got some answering to do#WendyWilliams Not watching anything they produce #DebmarMercury”

The Wendy Williams Show staff also wanted her to appear on the last episode of the show. “People want her to come back. … A lot of people — especially the mid-and low-level producers — signed up for the job because of Wendy. It feels like it’s just going to end [without her]. It’s weird.” Wendy Williams Williams last appeared on her show in September 2021. Since then, she had been dealing with a number of things including a lawsuit against Wells Fargo and health issues.
