In a shocking revelation, Teresa Giudice disclosed that her brother, Joe Gorga, played a part in reporting Joe Giudice to the authorities.
The shocking revelation about Joe Gorga alleged involvement in the Giudice fraud case was disclosed during the filming of the Season 13 Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion, on April 20th.
According to RHONJ alum Kim DePaola, commonly known as Kim D — Teresa revealed that Jacqueline Laurita informed her of Joe Gorga’s role in tipping off the Feds about Joe Giudice’s criminal improprieties.
In October 2014, Joe Giudice received a three and a half-year prison sentence for mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud charges, while Teresa Giudice, was sentenced to 15 months for their involvement in the fraud case.
Following Teresa’s shocking reunion revelation regarding her brother, she turned to Dolores Catania and expressed regret — asking her to convey an apology to Caroline Manzo. Teresa and Caroline Manzo are currently not in communication, and Dolores is a close friend of Manzo matriarch.
In the past, Teresa Giudice had made allegations against Caroline Manzo, accusing her of collaborating with the federal authorities to have her imprisoned. This claim had caused a lot of controversy and speculation among the Real Housewives of New Jersey fans.
When Joe and Teresa Giudice were sentenced to federal prison stints in 2014, Joe and Melissa Gorga appeared to be sympathetic, despite the complicated family dynamic.
In a blog post shared with her followers, Melissa Gorga expressed her heartfelt sympathies for the Giudice family, stating that they were, “heartbroken” over the situation and sending their best wishes for strength and faith.
Meanwhile, Joe Gorga reassured his sister, Teresa, that they would be there for her and her family in any way they could during this difficult time. The emotional toll of the situation was evident, with tears being held back over the thought of the Giudice daughters being left without their mother for 15 months.
An explosive report in Star magazine, not only calls foul on the publicly expressed lovey support, but is reporting that an inside source close to the Giudice fraud case claims that there was a snitch inside the family — none other than Teresa’s own brother, Joe Gorga.
According to the article, Joe and Melissa Gorga were peeved that Teresa was resistant to sharing the Bravo spotlight and the cash that came with it, and in an angry and impulsive move, Joe called the authorities and spilled the tea.
“Gorga ratted Giudice out on all the things that he was doing illegally: not paying the IRS, mortgage fraud, everything that the Giudices were busted for.” says the magazine’s source.
As per the insider source, Joe Gorga had reportedly expressed regret after learning about his sister Teresa’s prison sentence.
“He didn’t think that Teresa would ever go to prison. He wanted to rat Joe [Giudice] out, but not Teresa. It backfired.”
According to the tabloid, it was payback time a few months ago, when the feds paid a little visit to Camp Gudice. In December 2013, the source claims that Joe and Teresa were warned by the agents that they were facing new charges, as well as additional prison time — this time for tax evasion.
