Teddi Mellencamp Slams Sue Happy Diana Jenkins … Says She’s NOT A Good Fit For ‘RHOBH’
Teddi Mellencamp believes that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Diana Jenkins’ days are numbered on the Bravo reality series.
While some fans enjoyed Diana’s rags-to-riches story, many viewers struggled to relate to her extreme wealth. Bravo has yet to announce the official Season 13 cast, but certain insiders have alleged that Diana will land as a one-and-done cast member.
Teddi weighed in on the show’s current lineup during an appearance on the #NoFilter with Zack Peter podcast.
The RHOBH alum was asked who she believed had “overstayed her welcome,” and named Diana as her top pick.
“Overstayed her welcome — I mean, I will just go to ‘Beverly Hills,’ and it’s only been one season, but I don’t need to see Diana again. I feel like I really liked her when I met her, but she was something else on this show, and I don’t need to see it,” explained Teddi.
Teddi admitted that while she did not find Diana appealing on the show, she did like her when they crossed paths in person.
The 41-year-old added that perhaps Diana’s staggering wealth stunted her “Real Housewife” game.
“If you are so rich, don’t go on the ‘Housewives,’ like, really, if you are so over the top rich, and you can sue anybody you want, you can do this, you can do that, you are not going to deliver in the way someone who is a little bit thirsty is going to deliver,” she pointed out.
Diana recently revealed that she was pregnant, two years after giving birth to her 2-year-old daughter, Eliyanah. Page Six was the first to report that the 49-year-old was “a few weeks pregnant.”
“She’s feeling great, but because of her health history, she’s on bed rest,” the insider said, adding that she and fiancé, Asher Monroe, were “very happy” about the baby news.
Diana shares son Innis, 22, and daughter Eneya, 19, with ex-husband Roger Jenkins, and Eliyanah with Monroe.
RHOBH star, Sutton Stracke, also spoke out about Diana’s future on the show during an interview on Page Six’s ‘Virtual Reali-Tea’ podcast.
The podcast host shared that he would not be sad to see Diana go.
Sutton replied—“I think I might agree with that statement.”
There was no shortage of controversy during Diana’s debut season, as the Bravo rookie was accused of launching a vicious online bot attack on Garcelle Beauvais’ 14-year-old son, Jax Nilon, amid a feud with his mother. The teen was hammered relentlessly with discriminatory and racist messages during the most recent season, prompting both Garcelle and co-star, Lisa Rinna, to release statements denouncing the brutal cyberbullying.
Sharp social media users quickly recognized a pattern in the vitriol aimed at Jax, and slammed Diana with accusations that she had funded the online attack. Diana denied all wrongdoing and later filed a lawsuit to identify the online culprits.
The lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court stated— “Bad people do bad things. It is wrong to send racist and bullying messages to a fourteen-year-old boy. It is wrong to deceive the public into believing an innocent woman is responsible for sending these messages. And it is wrong to mastermind this hateful campaign in anonymity. This action seeks to unmask and hold accountable the morally bankruptcy person who has attacked a child and placed blame for his/her actions on Ms. Jenkins.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hillss will start Season 13 production in January.
