The conflict began in 2019 when Mauricio was sued for fraud over the sale of a $32 million Malibu property. The Bravo personality and his firm, The Agency, were sued by the former owner of the mansion after Mauricio was enlisted by the government to sell the home after it was seized from an individual named Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue. Mangue is the son of the president of his native country, Equatorial Guinea.
Mauricio Stole Kim’s House
During the season one finale of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle’s sister, Kim Richards accused Kyle and Mauricio of stealing her house. The blockbuster allegation shook fans to the core and made viewers look at the couple with raised eyebrows.
The house in question was once owned by Kim Richards — purchased with money she earned from childhood acting gigs. Supposedly, Kim used her house as collateral for a personal loan she received from her sister and brother-in-law. Apparently, Kim entered rehab for a period of time. While seeking help for her addiction, Kim alleges that Kyle and Mauricio defaulted on the loan and confiscated her home without giving her an opportunity to regain ownership.
