The View’s Fans ‘Disgusted’ With Whoopi Goldberg After This Episode

Whoopi Goldberg took a live shot at a crew member during a Christmas gift segment on Friday’s broadcast of The View. The panel was sharing their top holiday gift ideas when Whoopi called out a staffer, over her cue cards.

Whoopi said—“I didn’t write any of this but I’m going to pay homage to the woman who wrote this.”

“It’s a Christmas Potty,” Whoopi said after clearing her throat. 

“Yes, I said it,” she added after the audience laughed. 

She then showed off eco-friendly toilet paper printed with Christmas carols. 

Fans noticed Whoopi’s dig and took to Twitter to weigh in.

One viewer tweeted—”Did anyone see Whoopi humiliate the staffer who wrote her cue cards? So disgustingly rude.”

Whoopi delivered another awkward moment during Thursday’s show as The View panel shared a conversation with Alexandra Pelosi, the daughter of Nancy Pelosi. Alexandra was chatting about her mother’s friendship with former President George W. Bush when Whoopi failed to smoothly cut to break. 

Alexandra clarified that while her mom and the former POTUS disagreed politically, they were actually close friends.

“They [opposing parties] don’t seem to be able to have these conversations anymore,” Whoopi interjected.

She added—“I grew up with people feeling differently, and … you always say, ‘Ok. We agree to disagree.’ Now, people don’t have that ability. And I don’t know why we can’t slip back to it.”

Whoopi stopped abruptly and looked at the camera before commenting—”It’s my fault. I’ve been talking too much. We’re going to come right back with more from Alexandra Pelosi.”

The 67-year-old talk show host laughed as she quickly added—”I’m sorry. When we come back.”

Earlier last week, Whoopi interrupted her co-host, Sunny Hostin, mid-sentence. The panel was discussing Ruth Wilson’s recent comments about marriage and her belief in “connections, not institutions.”

Sunny chimed in—”I don’t think it’s for everyone.”

Whoopi interjected shouting—”I dunno, I’ve been sitting here with you guys for how long telling you this very thing! It’s not for everybody.”

Whoopi added that she should’ve been more honest about not wanting to be married, despite tying the knot “a couple times.”

She explained—“I don’t want to share, I don’t want to exchange how I feel about what you’ve done, don’t come in my house!”

“I just find that so strange because you’re such a generous person,” Sunny pointed out. 

Whoopi replied— “I’m very generous, but that’s my choice and I don’t want anybody questioning my generosity… ‘Why you doing that for them?’ I don’t want to talk to y’all about that!”

Whoopi abruptly blurted out as the discussion continued—“Oh my God, Sunny! Sorry, I forgot you had something to say, go ahead!”

On Monday’s show, Sunny shot a pointed glare at Whoopi and co-host, Sara Haines, after she was mocked for making her surgeon husband wear his wedding ring outside his hospital scrubs.
