Kyle Richards Calls Out Erika Jayne and Addresses Laughing At Garcelle’s Son
Kyle Richards is calling out Erika Jayne for spreading Dorit Kemsley divorce rumors, insulting Lisa Vanderpump, and laughing at Garcelle Beauvais’ minor son.
During a guest appearance on Teddi Mellencamp’s podcast, Kyle Richards addressed Erika Jayne disparaging remarks against former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Lisa Vanderpump, at the Season 12 reunion.
“I didn’t like that,” Kyle said on Two Ts in a Pod on October 28. “It made me very uncomfortable. I know Erika was mad because Vanderpump had made that comment about the scratch-and-sniff book… But I didn’t like that. I don’t think that’s nice.”

During the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 12 reunion, Erika said Lisa Vanderpump “reeks of garlic, cigarettes and chardonnay.” This was said in retaliation to Lisa Vanderpump questioning Erika’s intelligence after she posted a video of Garcelle Beauvais’ book in a trash can.
One of Kyle’s Season 12 regrets is laughing at Garcelle Beauvais’ 14-year-old son, Jax Nilon, for being berated by Erika Jayne.
The scene was shown on the Bravo reality series showed Kyle, her husband, Mauricio Umansky, Dorit Kemsley and her husband, PK – all laughing at the young teen being screamed at by Erika.
“I didn’t see that. I was told about it and I never should’ve commented on something I hadn’t seen,” Kyle claims. “I can tell you when we got the episode, Dorit Kemsley and I spoke and she’s like, ‘Kyle, I’m mortified. That was terrible,’ and we’re sitting there talking about it. I said, ‘That’s how I feel and I didn’t even see it. Why the hell was I talking about something I hadn’t seen?’”
In reference to her husband, Mauricio Umansky, laughing — referring to the incident as “Great” and being “glad she [Erika Jayne] did that”…. Kyle said he “always makes a dumb joke.”
She continued, “I was mortified because obviously being a mom comes first to me, more than anything, and then to see the way Erika spoke to Jax and how it came out… Horrible, horrible,” Kyle said, noting that she hopes Garcelle received her apology “was genuine.”
Kyle slammed Erika Jayne’s BravoCon prediction that Dorit and PK would be next to divorce.
“I was so shocked and honestly, I mean, I don’t know why she did that because I know PK and Dorit better than anybody in the group. They’re a really loving and supportive couple.” Kyle told the podcast host.
She continued, “They have a beautiful family. We travel with them and I just don’t know why throw something like that out there,” Kyle stated. “She later said she was joking but jokes are supposed to be funny… I thought that was really unnecessary.”
After receiving backlash for her comment, Erika Jayne backpedalled and claimed that she was joking but then doubled down on Watch What Happens Live: After Show, referencing past rumors about the couple — that include swinging and alleged “issues in their marriage.”
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is currently on hiatus.
