Meghan King’s Ex Jim Edmonds Did Not Invite Their Children to His Wedding!
Meghan King has called out her ex-husband, Jim Edmonds, for neglecting to invite their three children to his romantic wedding, last month.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum sounded off about the situation on the Monday episode of her podcast, “Intimate Knowledge.” Meghan revealed that the ex-couple’s children, Aspen, 5, and twin sons, Hart and Hayes, 4, “weren’t even invited” to the event.
In September, the former MLB star and Kortnie O’Connor tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Lake Como, Italy.
“They don’t even have passports and he didn’t ask me to get them a passport,” the host told guest, Heather McDonald.
The former Bravo star noted that she found it “interesting that he had a nanny there, but none of his seven children.”
Jim was previously married to LeeAnne Edmonds, who passed away in 2015. The couple shared two adult daughters, Lauren and Haley. Jim married Allison Raski in 2008, after splitting from LeAnne. They share a daughter, Sutton, and a son, Landon.
“There was [sic] no kids to nanny at the wedding!” the 38-year-old joked while talking about the “small” ceremony.
Jim’s rep responded to Meghan’s story, calling the former reality star’s comments “a cry for attention.”
“Meghan has continually and intentionally harassed and disparaged Jim to get attention for herself. Then she turns around and complains that she is having difficulty co-parenting with Jim; go figure,” the rep told Page Six.
“And the unfortunate part is that she puts her own best interests above those of her children and uses them as pawns to get herself publicity. Hopefully, at some point, she will get the help she needs and decide to lead a meaningful and productive life.”
Despite Meghan’s pointed remarks about her ex, the podcaster had only nice things to say about Kortnie’s “beautiful” wedding dress. She added that she hoped that their marriage “will last.”
“That’s all I care about, you know? Stability for the kids,” she said.
Meghan and Jim, 52, split in 2019 after a five-year marriage. Meghan made headlines last month when TMZ reported that on June 18, the former “Housewife” had filed a temporary restraining order against her ex, accusing him of abuse. Jim denied the allegations.
The outlet reported that Meghan alleged that Jim displayed “frequent and consistent verbal abuse” toward her as they co-parented via the app, Family Wizard. Insiders told the outlet that the ex-couple’s conflict stemmed from co-parenting disputes.
Meghan spoke on her podcast about her decision to dismiss the restraining orders earlier this week.
“We ended up turning it into a consent order that has all of the same terms as a restraining order but now it’s reciprocal, so I have to follow it as well,” Meghan explained. “I follow the rules so whatever, it doesn’t make any difference to me.”
“It’s good for Jim and I because we don’t have to see each other or communicate except about the kids, which is nice.”
