Tamar Braxton is dating a handsome Caucasian lawyer, after shooting down rumors that she had reconciled with her ex, David Adefeso. The singer made her first public appearance with her new man over the weekend, as revealed in a video posted by The Shade Room.

Media Takeout posted a few prior pics of the Braxton Family Values alum’s new love interest, whom she’s reportedly been seeing for almost three months. The couple was snapped sharing a cozy dinner at an Atlanta restaurant.
Sources claimed that Tamar, 45, initially wanted to keep her new romance hush-hush until she felt confident that he was the real deal.
A source close to the R&B artist said—“Tamar really likes him, so she wants to make sure that everything is good and they’re on solid ground before she announces him to the public.”
The singer is “completely smitten” with her new beau, and her friends reportedly refer to him as Tamar’s “Caucasian King.”
Tamar and David’s relationship crashed after David aimed allegations of abuse at Tamar while they were filming Tamar’s reality show spinoff, Get Your Life.
Followers of the past romantic chaos know that David and Tamar’s nasty breakup made headlines after he accused her of beating him up and threatening his life. Tamar denied the allegation. He was granted a temporary restraining order in September 2020, which was dissolved after neither side showed up in court.
David filed a cease and desist against Tamar in April 2021, after she alleged that he had cheated on her with his assistant. He alleged that her claim had damaged his reputation.
David hinted that a reconciliation could be underway when he took to social media on Mother’s Day to gush over his ex-fiancée and “best friend.” His post appeared to confirm that the duo had made amends.
David wrote—“Then there’s @tamarbraxton. Thank you for teaching me how to love. And through all life’s challenges, growing together to become best friends.”
Last month, Tamar was spotted with David, sparking lots of fan chatter. A viral photo revealed Tamar walking around the Essence Music Festival with her ex.
Tamar took to social media to shut down reconciliation rumors, which pleased her fanbase. Her followers have noticed a new glow in Tamar’s posted snaps in recent days, and have been sounding off about her new romance.
“Good because that David needed to go,” one wrote in an Instagram comment section.
“About time. Cause why was she STILL messing with the African/Jamaican dude who pressed charges on her and put all her business on the internet,” another noted.
Tamar, who starred in the WeTV reality series alongside her mother and sisters, appeared as a co-host on the Fox chat show, The Real from 2013-2016. The artist won Season 2 of Celebrity Big Brother in 2019.
