Kelly Clarkson’s Ex-Husband Reportedly ‘Always Asking For More’ After Divorce Agreement!
Kelly Clarkson’s husband, Brandon Blackstock, is having a hard time moving on from the life he had with her.
Kelly and her ex-husband got married in 2013, after two years of dating. The singer filed for divorce from Brandon in 2020 after almost seven years of marriage and cited irreconcilable differences. A source close to the couple said, “They clashed on so many levels, and being in quarantine together heightened their problems to the point of no return. So she filed for divorce.”
In March 2022, a judge finally approved the former couple’s divorce settlement. Blackstock was awarded $115,000 each month as spousal support until 2024. Despite Kelly being awarded primary custody of their two children, River, 8, and Remington, 11, she still has to pay her ex child support. The courts ordered her to pay him $45,600 monthly.
Still, an insider added that Blackstock doesn’t feel like he got his fair share in their divorce settlement. According to those close to Kelly, Brandon is always asking for more and being a constant thorn in her side in any way he can. He insisted on staying at the family’s ranch until a court order demanded he leaves the premises by June while paying Clarkson $12,500 in rent.
Us Weekly confirmed that Kelly’s ex finally moved out of her ranch. Per the source, Brandon wanted to fight the move but was talked out of it. When Kelly sells off the Montana ranch, Brandon will get approximately $908,000 since the property is worth $17,750,000. During their divorce settlement, the music manager won 5.12 percent of the land.
Kelly Clarkson’s fans are siding with her throughout her battle as they see Brandon for who he is. One fan tweeted, “I’m glad he’s out ur home! Sell that place before he takes u back to court. He’s a freeloader! I wish u all the happiness in the world Kelly.” Another fan tweeted, “Just another deadbeat guy living off of his wife/ exwife. I have no idea how this fool managed to get child support for kids he doesn’t even have custody of… how does this even happen ? And alimony??? No self respecting man would ever accept and live on that.”
Brandon had told the courts that his plan for the future is to become a rancher, however, it’s unclear where he plans to do that after moving out of Kelly’s Montana ranch.
