Kenya Moore’s Jealousy Of Marlo Hampton Grows Deeper!
Kenya Moore dissed co-star, Marlo Hampton, in a recent interview while speaking about the new season’s drama.
Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Kenya, called Marlo Hampton an ex-con! During her recent Wendy Williams Show interview, Kenya, 51, was questioned about rumors that she is jealous of Marlo finally getting a peach on the show. Guest host, Michael Rapaport, asked the Bravo star about Marlo’s accusation and she said, “Jealous? That’s silly. I’m an icon. She’s an ex-con.” Her response shocked everyone in the audience.
Kenya added, “Why would I be jealous?” Rapaport then asked the mother of one if she has always been good at snapping back and talking crap. She responded, “Probably, yeah.” Kenya later added that her main issue when Marlo is that she wants to be the next NeNe Leakes on the show. “You’ll never fill those shoes, so just stay in your lane. Or, you know, behind your bars.”
NeNe Leakes left The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2020 after being on the show since its first season started in 2008. NeNe was a prominent cast member on the reality show for the first seven seasons. Marlo told Page Six in an exclusive interview that Moore wasn’t thrilled about her new position on RHOA. “I feel deep inside that she didn’t feel that I should have [a peach]. She didn’t want me to be her equal or sitting on the couch next to her. I’ve been there, but she’s always been able to feel like she had one on top of me, saying she was a peach holder. But I don’t think she was genuine at all in being excited for me.”
Kenya Moore also spoke about her feud with Kandi Burruss this season. Kandi said about her fellow housewife coming for her, “She tried to come for me one time. I gave it back to her. You can’t [try me]. I’m not going for it.” Burruss continued at the time, “Go try that over there. Don’t try it with me. Try Jesus, don’t try me. That’s how I feel.”
Kenya did reveal some good news during the interview. She and RHOA cast member, Shereé Whitfield, are on good terms this season. “She’s my neighbor, like, literally, I can throw a stone and hit her back window. So, I need to be friends with her because I might need some brown sugar.”
