Wendy Williams is getting a biopic. The two-hour documentary will take us through Wendy‘s personal battles, struggles, and the public fall out of with her husband, Kevin Hunter. We will also relive the scary moment the talk show host fainted on-air in 2017.

Wendy Williams announced the release of the project on the Nov. 24 episode of her show, gushing about how proud she is of it.

“I’ve never been so proud of a project in my life,” Wendy said to her socially-distanced audience before noting, “You know, a side project.” Wendy continued, “I’ve never been so proud.” She then stood in front of her poster and said, “That’s the real me, you’ll see enough of the actress me in the movie.”
Wendy could not contain her excitement and seemed to still be in disbelief. “Would you look at this!” she exclaimed. “I’ve got a date and a time and four hours. I want to watch it by myself, so I can stop the TV and back it up. I will learn how to do it by then.”
Though no footage of the movie has been released, Wendy shared “two little tasty pictures” on the show. Watch below!

Wendy Williams will be portrayed by New Orleans actress, Ciera Payton (The Oval, Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral).
The ‘Wendy Williams Weekend Event’ kicks off on Jan. 30, 2021, at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
