Brittany Cartwright’s mother, Sherri Cartwright, has been hospitalized after suffering complications from a previous bladder surgery.
The Vanderpump Rules guest personality shared about her ordeal on her Instagram Stories on October 12, via a series of videos. She asked for prayer and explained to her followers that her kidneys had turned septic, necessitating another surgery in her near future.
“Well guys, I’m back in the hospital again. This time I went septic with my kidneys,” Sherri explained. “I had kidney stones, can’t pass them. They did a partial operation yesterday and gonna finish [up] in about a week.”
Sherri added that her doctors couldn’t surgically resolve the problem due to her compromised health.
“[They] gotta let everything get cleared up before I can have the rest of my surgery,” she shared.
Pump Rules fans will remember that Brittany’s mom found herself in the ICU in early June, after an unexpectedly complicated bladder surgery. Her pastor, Ryan Dotson, shared an update about his friend on Facebook.
“I would like to ask all my friends to please pray for my friend and church member Sherri Turner Cartwright,” he wrote on June 10. “She had to have an emergency surgery after having a scheduled procedure that went bad. She’s in ICU and things are uncertain, so please join us in prayer for Sherri and believe God for her full recovery.”
Ryan later shared the good news that Sherri was “out of ICU and in a room and improving daily.”
Sherri spoke about her recent ups and downs and admitted that 2020 has been a rough year.
“I know one thing, this has been a hard year definitely on me, and a lot of other people, I’m sure. So if you all could, please say a prayer for me. I really need it,” she asked.
Vanderpump Rules is on hiatus.
