Bethenny Frankel Blasts ‘RHONY’ Cast!

The Real Housewives of New York City premiered last week without Bethenny Frankel — and she had plenty to say about the dishy premiere.

The Skinnygirl mogul slammed the reality series in an interview with Extra” — revealing that she was offended by the candid cast reactions to her departure.

“The beginning of the show was the proverbial middle finger to me,” Bethenny Frankel told Extra. “The women have definitely had some unpleasant things to say about me … I wish them well.”

RHONY veteran, Luann de Lesseps, recently said that the current season is the “best yet” because of Bethenny’s exit.

“I feel like this season, because [Bethenny’s] not there, the women have a place to express themselves and show more of their personality,” Luann said on Rob Shuter’s “Naughty But Nice” podcast. “And I think this is the best season yet. It’s like, Bethenny who? It’s the best season ever!”

Anxious fans clamored for an early start to the show, to boost spirits during the coronavirus shutdown. Bethenny, 49, shaded the show’s inspiration factor — implying that her absence has been a ratings game changer.

“The ratings overall in television have never been higher and perhaps the ratings on ‘Real Housewives’ aren’t doing well because it’s sort of not maybe the content that is inspiring people to do what they need to do right now,” Bethenny Frankel continued. “Or maybe they want to watch the news or something uplifting or some way to pay it forward.”

Bethenny Frankel’s organization — BStrong — has been focused on providing aid during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We will have distributed over $16 million worth of aid this week and that will grow exponentially,” Bethenny Frankel said.

The Real Housewives of New York City airs on Thursday nights, at 9 pm, ET, on Bravo.
