Jesus take the wheel!

On the Teen Mom OG season six finale, fans were in an uproar after cameras captured Ryan Edwards driving high (out of his mind) on drugs.

In the disturbing scene, Maci Bookout’s ex and Mackenzie Standifer were traveling to their shotgun wedding when Ryan consistently nodded out at the wheel. Ryan blamed sunlight in his eyes, but the situation was so dire, Standifer had to take control when he began swerving on the road.

Mackenzie questioned Ryan about taking Xanax — which he denied and even swore on his son Bentley’s life. Twitter exploded during the episode, blasting MTV for allowing the life threatening scene to go down.

On Wednesday, MTV finally responded to the shocking footage in a statement.

“MTV does not condone driving under the influence. Ryan’s erratic behavior was due to actions that he took without anyone’s prior knowledge.”

The footage was shot on a dashboard camera, and a cameraperson was not present during the incident but should MTV turn the footage over to authorities? Should Ryan be charged with DUI? What do YOU think?

The Teen Mom OG reunion special airs on Monday night and Standifer and Ryan’s baby mama Maci Bookout, face off over Edwards’ substance abuse and recovery.
