#TeenMomOG Star Ryan Edwards Has Checked Into Rehab!
Ryan Edwards has reportedly entered rehab, the move colliding with disturbing abuse allegations made on last week’s episode of Teen Mom OG.
Multiple outlets are reporting that the ex of MTV star, Maci Bookout McKinney, has been in a rehab facility for two weeks, and is doing well, according to E! News.
The news comes on the heels of shocking claims made by Maci during a cast vacation — where fans watched the reality star address the father of her son’s addiction issues.
“Ryan’s f–ked up. I watch it, I see it, I know it,” Maci’s co-star, Amber Portwood commented, while MTV cameras rolled. “Where he’s at right now, when I see him, I know where he’s at and I’m like, ‘Wow, he needs some guidance.’”
Maci explained that she believed that Ryan would go to treatment, but that those around him were reluctant to face the problem.
“What I’m saying is that everyone else around him is too afraid of what it will look like more than his health…it’s all denial. They all know,” Maci said, fighting back tears.
Maci got emotional during the conversation, and remarked.
“Honestly, the hardest thing is for me to see Ryan not love himself because he is a person worth loving. He deserves to love himself.”
The MTV hit has chronicled the ups and downs between Maci and Ryan since the birth of their 8-year-old son, Bentley. Maci has since married Taylor McKinney, and Ryan is currently engaged Mackenzie Standifer — the 2016 proposal captured by MTV. On Tuesday, Standifer reacted to the public exposure on Twitter.
AllAboutTheTea.com was the first to call widespread attention to Ryan’s bizarre appearance, back in October of 2016. MTV footage revealed the young father checked out — his eyes glazed over and bugged out — his speech repetitive. Ryan denied the rumor that drugs were part of his reality, at the time.
Ryan has not yet made any public statement.
Teen Mom OG airs Monday nights, on MTV.
