So sad. Following the tragic passing of his beloved mom, Antonia Gorga, Joe Gorga provides an update on how the family is coping.
In an emotional interview, Joe describes how the family is managing after Antonia‘s sudden death.
“Nobody’s happy,” Joe tells Radar Online. “We’re all hanging in there.” Joe added, “We loved our mother very, very, very much,” he gushed. “She’s a wonderful woman.”
As AllAboutTheTea.com previously reported, Antonia Gorga, 66, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017. She died of natural causes, however, was admitted to a local hospital for pneumonia in December and was never released.
Joe‘s only sister, Teresa Giudice, released an emotional statement to fans, friends and followers regarding her devastating loss:
“Thank you for the love and support during this extremely difficult time,” the 44-year-old captioned a collage of six photos of the family matriarch. “My mother was a very cherished part of our family and she’ll be deeply missed. Each and every one of your messages of love & support are so appreciated. Give her eternal rest O Lord and may your light shine on her forever.”
Many speculated how Joe‘s father, Giacinto Gorga, who struggles with major health issues, was dealing with the tragic loss of his wife, Antonia.
“His health is better. We just got him — yeah, he’s doing better.”
Joe Gorga and Teresa Giudice said goodbye to their mom, Antonia on Monday, March 6, and shared an emotional video on Instagram from the funeral.
Set to the tune of Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth‘s “See You Again” the slow motion video captured guests dressed in black, sending white balloons into the sky.
As exclusively reported, the funeral took place at St. Joseph’s Church in Lincoln Park , New Jersey, at 11 a.m. ET on Monday, March 6.
A source dished to AllAboutTheTea.com that Kathy Wakile, Antonia’s niece, was not in attendance. “Kathy and Rich Wakile did not attend the funeral,” a source reveals.
Melissa Gorga was decked out for Antonia‘s send off.
“Melissa was cold as ice — not shedding a tear. She was standing next to Teresa, and kept calling out Gia‘s name. She made a spectacle of herself — dressed like Michael Jackson, carrying a Chanel bag,” an eyewitness tells AllAboutTheTea.com.
