‘Sister Wives’ Kody Brown Warns Mykelti Not To Rush Marriage Because Of Sexual Desires
Mykelti Brown’s engagement continues to shake things up around the cul-de-sac, on Sunday’s episode of Sister Wives.
The young lovebirds sit down with Mykelti’s parents, Kody and Christine Brown, along with Kody’s other three wives, Meri, Janelle, and Robyn, in a sneak preview.

Mykelti drops a bomb, and tells the family that they want to exchange their “I dos” in August — only two months after their engagement. The family sits in stunned silence, horrified at the idea of back-to-back weddings. Maddie Brown and Caleb Brush wed in June — the pre-festivities well underway on the TLC stage.
“When Mykelti was like: ‘Okay, I think August is a good time to get married,’ my heart sank,” Robyn tells the camera. “I was like: ‘Oh no!’”
“You saw my reaction before and I almost had a panic attack,” Christine tells Mykelti. “And then Dad went and spoke to Tony.”
Mykelti thinks that two months is plenty of time to pull off another love-bash, and asks the family what they think. Janelle is clearly upset by the idea of Maddie being upstaged, and shares her concern that some family members won’t be able to make it.
“I didn’t know what else to say,” Janelle confesses to the camera. “Because I really was in a place where I was like: ‘You did not hear a thing that anybody said.’”
“I am pretty sure that Maddie will feel a little bit encroached upon if Mykelti decides to rush this,” she adds. “She’s pretty emotional right now and I think any kind of news that Mykelti is going to hurry and rush the date will just put her over the edge.”
Kody Brown has 18 children, and they all might want to prepare for a lifetime of “encroachment.” Kody offers a mini-sermon — sharing his view on the dicey dilemma.
“Listen, I’ve been married four times and the only time that was long enough was the engagement that was 10 months,” Kody says. “Here’s the thing: You can give yourself a really, really solid foundation in a relationship by developing a relationship and just figuring out a way to put the physical on the back-burner. When you are just turned inside by your physical needs, by this sex drive, you get stupid. I’m teasing them because I think they’re being stupid.”
Watch the preview above and tune into Sister Wives on Sundays at 8:00 p.m ET, on TLC. See you on the recap!
