Years ago, Lauri Peterson, made the decision to leave The Real Housewives of Orange County and focus on her new marriage and her kids, specifically son Josh Waring who was having trouble with substance abuse and the law. Turns out having an attentive mother, a child, rehab and jails stints haven’t helped Waring.

Radar Online is reporting that while currently behind bars, the reality star’s son was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. The new charge was levied on Nov 3, and could tack on three more years to his sentence.

Waring has been in an Orange County jail since June 20 awaiting trial for an attempted murder charge in Costa Mesa where he allegedly shot Daniel Lopez in the lower torso while he was residing in a sober living house. Waring then fled the scene and according to reports, stole a BMW. A police helicopter spotted the BMW and police were able to apprehend Waring, but not before he crashed the vehicle. After a short standoff, Waring surrendered. No gun was recovered, but sources say police recovered enough evidence linking Waring to the shooting.

Waring’s bail was set at $1 million dollars for three counts of suspicion of attempted murder, assault and battery, felony evading police, vehicle theft, and hit-and-run. Waring pleaded not guilty to the three counts of attempted murder. Now Waring will have to appear before a judge again and explain the new charge at the end of the month.
