‘RHOC’ Lauri Peterson Blasted for Deserting Her Son in Prison
Real Housewives of Orange County alum, Lauri Peterson, is being blasted for allegedly deserting her troubled son.
As reported, Joshua Waring, son of Real Housewives of Orange County alum, Lauri Peterson, was arrested in June after allegedly shooting a man in Costa Mesa, Calif., and fleeing in a stolen car.
Reportedly, Peterson has cut off all communication with her currently jailed son, Josh Waring. A source close to the situation is sounding off — and alleging that the mother who claimed to quit reality TV to help her son, has done just the opposite.
Waring “was a troubled child and he was trotted out by reality TV,” the insider told Radar Online. “He was used as a dancing bear.”
Waring’s issues have only gotten worse, since viewers learned of the young man’s struggle with addiction, on the Bravo reality show. The 27-year-old was charged with three counts of attempted murder, three counts of personal use of a firearm, and one count of inflicting great bodily injury, after allegedly shooting a man in the torso, in June. He pled guilty to the charges in July, appearing in a Costa Mesa, California courtroom.
Lauri has withdrawn from the chaos surrounding Josh, refusing to have anything to do with her druggie son. Peterson has supposedly cut off the cash supply to the currently sober Waring, who, according to the snitch, has received money from his father, but “not a dime from Lauri.”
Laurie claimed to be on a mission to help her heroin addicted son, when she decided to quit reality TV. The insider disagrees, and claims that Lauri is now blowing off his calls.
“To say she quit the show to help him to get through his heroin addiction is heinous beyond belief,” claims the source.
“Lauri is not returning his calls,” noted the insider,” and she has visited him in prison just once.”
Peterson, 56, shared snippets of her struggle with Josh on the Bravo show—back in 2008. The outlet’s source shares Lauri’s reaction to Josh’s recent arrest.
“All Lauri could say was, ‘How could you have done this! It’s humiliating, your childhood was not this bad,’” relays the source. “Basically, she is saying Joshua is an embarrassment.”
Fans of the show watched Lauri agonize over Josh, and her adult son’s bad decisions have only multiplied. Abandonment—or exhausted withdrawal?
