There’s no denying Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Yolanda Foster, had a rough 2015. Foster, 51, is coping with the strain of her imminent divorce from estranged husband, David Foster, while dealing with an alleged medical crisis.

Now to add to the rumors associated with Yolanda and her health, a new report by Radar suggests the former Dutch model did not follow doctor’s orders during her Lyme disease battle. A source tells the site, the RHOBH star ignored doctors’ warnings to cease her weekly colonic sessions.

Yolanda admitted on an episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills she gets colonics on a weekly basis. And according to an insider, that was entirely her decision.

“Yolanda’s doctors told her from day one that she needed to stop the colonics,” the insider claimed. “The colonic treatments were not really approved or recommended. Inserting tubing into the rectum can cause tearing, bleeding, and infection,” the source explained. “Someone battling Lyme disease shouldn’t be doing anything that would increase their chances of getting sicker!”

Yolanda’s obsession with colonic irrigation was so bad, her soon-to-be ex-husband, David Foster, “begged her to stop,” but his wife ignored his requests, according to the source.

Colon cleansing is normally used as preparation for medical procedures such as colonoscopy. However, some alternative medicine practitioners also offer colon cleansing for other purposes, such as detoxification. But colon cleansing for such purposes isn’t necessary. That’s because your digestive system and bowel already eliminate waste material and bacteria from your body.

According to the Mayo Clinic, colon cleansing can be harmful. Colon cleansing can, 1) Increase your risk of dehydration, 2) Lead to bowel perforations, 3) Increase the risk of infection and cause changes in your electrolytes, which can be dangerous if you have kidney or heart disease or other health problems.

Despite these warnings, “Yolanda says it helps her to feel better.”

As reported, David, 66, is seeking reimbursement for the enormous bills generated from treating his soon-to-be ex-wife’s Lyme disease. Reportedly, she’s now relying on financial support from her ex-husband, Mohammed Hadid, the father of her three children.

Yolanda, was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012 and has since struggled to treat her deteriorating condition.

While the rumor mill runs wild as to what caused the split, Yolanda addressed the factors that led to their breakup in a call to Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Yolanda revealed her health crisis contributed to the demise of her marriage; she admitted that the “turbulent circumstances” of her illness proved “extremely challenging;” and “changed the dynamic” of her relationship with David.

Surprisingly the reality star is said to be active again and feeling much better.
