In August, Kyle’s husband, Mauricio Umansky, was accused of secretly selling a client’s Malibu mansion to himself, and later reselling the home at a profit of $37 million. The seller of the property, Sweetwater Malibu LLC, is demanding that Umansky pay back $8 million from the deal, and his insurance company is suing him to dodge having to deliver a $3 million payout, according to court documents.
Dorit’s husband, P.K. Kemsley, is being sued by Bellagio Hotel and Casino, the Las Vegas business seeking to recoup $2 million in unpaid gambling debts and interest.

In addition, Dorit and P.K. are being sued for over $200k by their business partner, Ryan Home, according to documents uncovered by Page Six, in August. Home claimed in his filing that his company paid advances on the reality couple’s swimwear line, Beverly Beach by Dorit, under an oral agreement that he would receive reimbursement, along with a share of the profits. Horne alleged that he sent the couple goods worth over $129k, but was never reimbursed a penny. He also claims that the company is worth $300k, and wants the couple to pay up.

Drama swirling around Lisa Vanderpump’s withdrawal from the cast provides a welcome shelter for both Kyle and Dorit — perhaps a diversion from messy legal challenges going on behind the scenes.
