RECAP: ’90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days’ Jesse Accuses Darcey of Assault & Walks Out!
One 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days couple got hitched last night — while others drifted further apart. The clock is ticking — and tensions are rising!
Darcey and Jesse
The episode picks up right where we left off — with a plate of massacred beef and an Amsterdam loser pouting on the front porch. Darcey Silva’s daughter delivers a half-hearted invitation to Jesse Meester to rejoin the bleak family dinner, so he allows them the joy of his sneering presence. The girls beg both sides to grow up, and the couple responds with a few back and forth bonus snipes. The vibe is vicious, and their warm family test-run is a bust. The girls shovel in their dinners to escape the madness, and agree that Jesse needs to shape up in the respect department.
A later argument points to some physical push and pull, a scuffle involving cold toes, flattened shoes, and lobbed Louboutins. Darcey denies slinging her stilettos, but Jesse is terrified for his life, and might even call the cops. He makes a dramatic exit, hoping to escape the footwear themed insanity. Darcey crumbles into an ugly cry before the cameras, and Jesse begins to chant “assault” under his breath.
Jesse later reiterates that he wants to run for the hills, but his heart and wallet have decided to shlep his luggage back into the house. The pair later sits for an interview, where Darcey feels free to point out that Jesse plays mind games. Jesse feels free to add that Darcey better fix herself, or else. Darcey finally drops the breakup bomb, and Jesse turns on the faux despair. Jesse labels the romance deceptive and fake, but Darcey, excited by his emotional response, doesn’t realize that his tear droplets point to yet another mind game.
Jesse calls Darcey a drunk, but Darcey doesn’t play along with last season’s storyline. Jesse makes another exit, and Darcey heads home to her children.
Angela and Michael
We catch up with on a dinner date, and learn that they have only one week of cringeworthy togetherness left. Angela is served a scrumptious bowl of cow hoof, before she encourages her prince to evaluate his nursing home skills.
Michael is concerned about having his own children, and Angela is worried about birthing a babe in her sixties. Michael assures her that he’s in it for the long haul, and will faithfully stand by her dried up uterus. Angela later discovers that Michael is an Instagram junkie, and is following 1k women.
He’s spamming a harem for the heck of it, so Angela’s trust begins to waver. Angela later speaks to her daughter about Michael’s social media habits, who wonders if Michael is in cahoots with other women. She blasts her mother for not opening her eyes to the truth, and Angela is just confused about the whole shebang.
Tarik and Hazel
Hazel is on the run, when we pick back up in the Philippines. Dean has stomped all over the internet romance, and Tarik isn’t sure what will happen next. Tarik tracks Hazel down, and admits that inviting Dean as a wingman was a mistake. Dean’s observations have Tarik’s wheels turning against his will, and his concerns about Hazel’s connection to her ex begin to grow. Hazel admits that she’s communicating with her ex in order to get her things back and a loan repaid. Hazel is reluctant to cut off communication, and makes no promises. Tarik later gags on some street duck fetus, a poetic intro for Dean busting back onto the scene.Tarik grows a pair and tells his bro to back off, which Dean ignores. Dean pushes his critique too far, and Tarik admits that he has not wooed Hazel all the way.
Rachel and Jon
The British fairytale continues with Jon Walters and Rachel Bear — who are enjoying their time together, despite Jon’s ornery past. Rachel reminds us that she has a second child in the states, strangely while wistfully wishing that she could live in England forever. The couple later video chats with Rachel’s father, and Jon tries to explain how his temper has blown his shot at a visa. Jon assures him that he’s paid for his crimes, and he’s a new and better man. Dad isn’t sold, but respects Jon’s attempt to set the record straight. The hours tick by, and Rachel begins to wonder if Jon will ever pop the question. The quasi family visits a castle, and with Lucy strapped to his front, Jon proposes against a stunning natural backdrop. Rachel accepts, but lots of logistical hurdles remain.
Ricky and Ximena and Melissa
Ricardo “Ricky” Reyes and Ximena are positively glowing after their first romp in the hay, which occurred shortly after their first meeting. Ximena has become an acceptable sub for spambot Melissa, except her name, which Ricky forgot in the throes of passion.
Ricky lied his way out of the gaffe, and Ximena looks forward to more beautiful moments, preferably in the U.S.. Ricky informs us that Ximena has been waiting in the wings for some time, but adds that he feels badly that he can’t keep his roster straight. Ricky talks to Ximena about her mothering skills, and although she has never envisioned such a future, she knows that a life in America might be worth it.
Ricky later showers Ximena with gifts, and reveals that he’s been sending her cash, to ease her plastic surgery expenses. Ximena corrects him, and clarifies that she used his cash for travel expenses. Ricky’s two-timing conscience begins to act up, but his chicken side wins, and he doesn’t spill that she’s playing second fiddle to Melissa.
Paul and Karine
It’s the eve of this couple’s wedding day, and Karine Martins feels like puking every time she thinks about getting married. Paul Staehle is worried that she might back out, and Karine admits that she’s anxious and scared about her future. We jump to the next day, and Paul is praying that Karine isn’t a no-show. Karine is busy getting pretty, but is worried that they might be rushing to the altar.
Paul is wearing a shiny suit for the TLC sponsored nuptials, and Karine looks like she actually showered for the occasion. Karine keeps Paul and her family waiting, passing the minutes by dabbing away tears of pre-remorse. Karine finally appears, and translators walk the couple through their I dos. Paul repeats his vows in Portuguese, and sheds a few tears. Karine follows, and her mother looks heartbroken. The family celebrates the union with a boat reception, where Karine’s father offers a toast to the newlyweds. Karine’s mother promises to support, even through heartbreak.
Next week on 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days — Karine wants out and a new couple is introduced.
