The suit filed on September 25 in Fulton County alleges that carpenter, Charles Busbee, did work on the Old Lady Gang restaurant between March 19 and June 27, 2016. Basically, the Tucker’s architect and third defendant in the lawsuit, Cedric Drayton, wrote him bad checks totaling $16,512. As a result, Busbee was forced to pay his crew out of his own pocket.

In October 2016, Busbee placed a lien on Kandi and Todd’s restaurant in the amount owed, $16,512. He claims he was suppose to be paid by June 30, 2016 but has not received a dime.
The carpenter is seeking the full amount due for his services, plus interest.

As reported, the Old Lady Gang received a slew of health code violations, earning a dismal “C” rating in August. However, the restaurant quickly corrected all the violations later that month — resulting in an “A,” rating in follow-up inspection.
The southern canteen opened its doors in March 2017 and pays homage to family members, Aunt Nora, Aunt Bertha, and Mama Joyce. Many online reviews give the restaurant high ratings.
