Kenya Moore Opens Up About Boyfriend Matt: ‘Matt’s Been Very Open About Wanting Marriage’

On the last episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kenya Moore and her boyfriend, Matt, had reconnected. In other words, Kenya was giving his ass one more chance. But she was all in, even hopping in a car with her two dogs and tooling up to Cinci for Matt’s family reunion. But things got off to a rocky start.

“Everyone knows I’m the world’s worst road tripper! But it actually wasn’t that bad. Matt loves to drive everywhere, and I’m the complete opposite… The worst thing that happened was Twirl got car sick and kept whining and vomiting.”

Eventually, Kenya calmed down and relaxed. A bit.

“We had fun talking and bonding.”

When Kenya first met Matt’s family, she thought his parents might not like her. She never expected Matt’s sister, Hallison, would be the chief inquisitor.

“Matt’s sister is older than him and he is the baby. I wasn’t expecting her to be so direct with her concerns. I do, however, appreciate her love for her brother and wanting the best for him.”

Matt’s mom was on board with Kenya—despite the age difference between her and Matt.

“…most mothers love me, but I was skeptical of her acceptance because of our large age difference. As such, I didn’t think she would approve of our relationship.”

By the end of the reunion, Matt’s mom hugged Kenya and welcomed her into the family. Knowing Kenya’s background with her own mother, it was a poignant moment.

“I adore Matt’s family and his mother could not have been nicer toward me. Speaking as a woman who doesn’t have a relationship with my mother, his mom made me feel like I was one of her daughters.”

And she may very well end up as part of the family. Matt isn’t shying away from settling down. He wants to put a ring on Kenya’s finger. The sooner the better.

“Matt has been very open with me about wanting marriage. Seeing his family and experiencing the love they have for each other made me want to be a part of it.”

So, was it a good idea for Kenya to give Matt a second chance? Or should she be more wary about his anger issues?
