‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Episode 3 SPOILERS: Daryl, Negan, And Dwight Share The Spotlight
This week’s episode of The Walking Dead is titled, “The Cell.” The official synopsis for The Cell reads, “We’re introduced to a completely new group of survivors living in an impressive community that seems to have it all… for a price.”
Last week’s episode, focused on Carol and Morgan adjusting their new surroundings in the Kingdom where we met King Ezekiel and Shiva for the first time. We didn’t see Rick’s crew or Negan and we don’t know what they’re doing with Darryl. But in episode 3, The Cell picks up in the aftermath of Negan‘s introduction, as we follow Daryl to Negan‘s Sanctuary home. The Saviors will do their best to break down the last remaining Dixon brother and force him into their methods of serving to survive.
Episode 3 will focus on Negan, Daryl and Dwight, as it follows the lead of recent seasons of The Walking Dead which show one group’s journey at a time.
This episode explores Negan‘s territory and the rules enforced at his compound, audiences will also learn a bit more about Dwight’s conflicts both internal and external. He killed Denise Cloyd with an unexpected shot from Daryl’s crossbow.
To answer what happened to Dwight’s face:
In the comics, Negan has multiple wives. These women become his wives for protection. But although he has different partners, his wives are unable to have other lovers. That’s how Dwight got his face burned. Dwight’s wife, Sherry, became one of Negan’s wives in an attempt to live a better life with the Saviors. However, Negan caught Sherry with Dwight and punished him by burning half of his face with an iron.
The Walking Dead Season 7, episode 3 airs on AMC — Sunday at 9:00 p.m. ET.
