Rehab, Engagement & Walk-Offs: ‘Teen Mom OG’ Season 6 Spoilers!
The sixth season of the MTV hit Teen Mom OG, premieres this Monday, August 22nd. Fans will catch up with the post-teen cast, Farrah Abraham, Amber Portwood, Maci Bookout, and Catelynn Lowell, as they navigate parenthood, and all the drama that goes along with being an MTV reality star.
Farrah Abraham sets herself apart from the cast, as the one hustler who seeks a career apart from MTV. Farrah is now 25, has opened a restaurant named Froco, and is always exploring new business opportunities. This season will reveal that Farrah’s part-time squeeze, Simon Saran, is still in her narrative. In a sneak peek video, Simon and Farrah’s mother, Debra, engage in a heated discussion.
Amber Portwood weathered a social media firestorm last season, after her fiance, Matt Baier, was exposed as a father of a herd of kids. Evidently the couple has weathered the fallout, because the wedding is still on. Amber has also managed to hammer out a custody agreement with baby daddy, Gary Shirley. In the sneak peek, Amber reveals that she has no friends, so she plans to summon other faraway Teen Moms to build a bridal party.
Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra got married last season, after giving birth to their baby girl, Nova. This season, Catelynn seeks help for her struggle with depression, checking into rehab, while Tyler cares for their daughter. In a preview clip, Tyler encourages Catelynn’s plan to join Weight Watchers, remarking that he doesn’t want a “heifer” for a wife.
It’s a baby-makes-five storyline for Maci Bookout and boyfriend, Taylor McKinney. Maverick Reed arrived at the end of May, and the couple is currently planning a fall wedding. Maci was captured drinking halfway into her pregnancy, stalling the bun-in-the-oven announcement until Valentines Day, working the simultaneous engagement into her disclosure. In the sneak, Taylor finally pops the question.
Tune in to Teen Mom OG, Monday night, at 9:00pm ET on MTV.
