‘Little Women: LA’ Recap: Tonya & Terra’s Friendship Drama Divides The Group!
We resume Little Women: LA mid-fight between Kerwin and Tonya in the garage. Tonya has forgotten one last bin full of clothes from Jaa and will need to see him again. Kerwin says Tonya is wasting his damn time. Tonya says, “It’s not my fault.” Well, it may not be her damn fault, but is sure as heck is her damn problem. Kerwin keeps saying, “This is stupid!” He’s got one foot out the door and doesn’t trust Tonya as far as he can throw her. Kerwin has quit his job, moved from Texas, and given up his lady-friend to be with Tonya and she can’t complete this one damn task? Kerwin says he knows his way back home.
Preston and Elena are elated to bring home both boys from the hospital at the same time. Elena says that Xavier is calm and Kairo is a little fussy – so obviously Xavier takes after Preston and Kairo takes after Elena. So far they have not had genetic testing done on the boys, so they discuss the pros and cons of this test and decide not to decide just yet.
Briana and Terra are doing separate pregnancy photo sessions together. Briana is in all white, very ethereal looking and Terra is more…out of this world? But the good news is they all have clothes on. Terra then throws Tonya under the minibus and tells Briana about the comment Tonya made that she couldn’t handle an average sized child. Terra also shares that in retaliation for this comment she slammed the lotus flower logo on Tonya’s active wear line. Next they discuss the Habitat for Humanity volunteer project that will no doubt be a calamity for humanity.
Jasmine is picking up extra hours at the salon to pick up the slack since husband Chris is still out of work. Jasmine tells her boss she needs even more hours and her boss suggests that Jasmine become a specialist since her clients love her so much. So far Jasmine hasn’t divulged that she’s pregnant and struggling with health issues.
Briana and Matt are shopping for inconsequential stuff when she tells him about the recent gossip concerning Tonya’s implication that Briana can’t handle an average sized child. Matt laughs at the ignorance because he’s so above trivial stuff like this. They decide to focus on the baby and to forget about all the other nonsense.
Tonya is at the beauty parlor picking out a new do for her thinning do. Jasmine is with her and she too suffers from hair loss. Jasmine tells Tonya she’s pregnant and won’t be able to be at the Habitat for Humanity event because of her health. Tonya shares that it’s practically war between her and Terra for not supportive of her new business venture. Jasmine recommends Tonya share her feelings with Terra the next opportunity she has. Uh-oh. A fight while holding power tools with these ladies is not a good idea.
Over at the Pilates studio, Tonya, being the second iced-out group member has reached out to Christy, the first iced-out group member, to work out together. Pilates is not exactly little-person friendly, but Christy and Tonya are the only ones not pregnant. Oops. Christy didn’t know yet about Jasmine, but now she does. Christy says she’s a-okay with it, not jealous, not jealous at all. No siree. Tonya tells Christy about the insult from Terra about her active wear line logo. Christy’s eyes practically sparkle that the two besties are not so bestie. Tonya invites Christy to come help build a house. Christy says, yes, she’s all about being in front of the cameras helping others.
Over at twin central, Terra stops by to meet Elena’s babies. Terra gets straight to the genetic testing question and doesn’t understand why Elena hasn’t already done this. Doesn’t she want to know? Elena is like, meh, not really, though she hopes both boys are average, though. And of course Terra is offended by this, but changes the topic. Terra tells Elena she’s planning on talking with Tonya about their issues during Habitat for Humanity – because why shouldn’t this charity event be about her?
Christy and her mom go to a craft store to make jewelry. Autumn was supposed to go, but she’s not feeling well and has a cyst the size of a baseball on one of her ovaries. Christy yaks that she’s been so overwhelmed with her own family, she’s not had any time to dwell on the fact that everyone in the group hates her. But being invited to build a house for someone who has it worse than her is making Christy excited to see the girls again.
At Tonya’s house, Jaa is on the way over with the last bin of her active wear. Tonya and Kerwin are waiting in the driveway for him. When Jaa arrives, he asks Kerwin to reconsider the platonic working relationship he now has with Tonya. Jaa is respectful and says, “Yes, sir” to Kerwin. The two men hug it out. No word if Kerwin will reconsider, but my guess is Tonya is now the sole proprietor of her active wear line.
Later, Jasmine meets with Tonya to confront her on something that’s none of her damn business, the Briana-is-too-passive-to-have-an-average-sized-kid remark she made to Terra. Tonya says this comment was supposed to have been between her and Terra, it’s none of anyone else’s damn business and they are getting on her last damn nerve. Tonya’s says her comment is more about Matt and not so much about Briana. Jasmine says she gets it and will drop it. Thank you, Jesus!
It’s time to get to work and build a house! At first it’s just Tonya and Christy painting the exterior. Christy is so happy that Tonya and Terra aren’t speaking, but just then Terra waddles up, and boy is she in a bad mood. When Christy suggests it’s not a good idea for a pregnant person to stand on a ladder and hang instillation, Terra practically tells her to shut up and gets all righteous about Christy not really caring. Then Terra complains that Tonya had no business inviting Christy, the only other non-pregnant person in the group, to help build a home for a deserving individual who’s had a challenged life. Terra wants to discuss their issues, but is like, not now, not today, not here. This makes Terra angry because she’s the self-appointed boss of this show. Tonya says, don’t like it? Bye, bitch, go home. Terra walks off and Christy calls her a heifer.
Tune in next week when Briana goes over the call list with Matt for when she’s in labor. Spoiler alert: practically no one makes the list.
