Tapped Out! Real Housewives of Potomac Star Robyn Dixon Filed For Bankruptcy

Bravo’s new show, The Real Housewives of Potomac, hasn’t even begun and the drama is already unfolding. New Bravo housewife, Robyn Dixon, is joining the ranks of Teresa Giudice, Alexis Bellino and Sonja Morgan. What do these Bravolebrities have in common? They have all filed for bankruptcy protection while claiming to be wealthy.

According to to court documents obtained by All About the Tea, Robyn Dixon, ex-wife of former NBA star Juan Dixon, filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy in her home state of Maryland on September 26, 2013. The 36-year-old mother of two active boys, 6 and 7, claimed she was more than $217,000 in debt with a monthly income under $2,000 as a public relations and event manager.

Her Bravo bio says “Being married to an athlete was not easy, and when Juan broke her heart, the couple decided to part ways. Juan now works as a special assistant basketball coach for the University of Maryland, and the couple remains extremely close, so much so they all live together under one roof and are embracing the ‘new normal.’”

The bankruptcy paperwork indicates Dixon owed $149,813 to a mortgage company, $28,372 to Audi Financial services for her 2011 Volkswagen CC Lux; $16,577 to American Express; $10,871 to Discover; $2,680 to the I.R.S. for unpaid income taxes and nearly $3,000 to Bloomingdales.

The bankruptcy filling was discharged in February 2014 and Dixon was ordered to enroll in credit counseling and pay the I.R.S. $16,183 for back taxes. The case was closed in October 2014.
