‘Sister Wives’ Fans React Harshly to TLC Promoting Robyn Brown’s Baby Gender Reveal Episode

It’s a GIRL…and…crickets.  Sister Wives presented a smackdown between Meri Brown and her sister wife, Robyn Brown, on the last episode of the  polygamist reality show. Kody Brown’s 18th spawn is a girl, as is Mare’s catfish lover, and the duo competed for the camera, and big reactions from the viewers. 

Common sense tells us that a nod to a slimy, scandalous affair trumps another snoozy Brown offspring announcement, especially when mother #4 isn’t exactly a fan favorite. Viewers agreed, based on comments skewering a gushy bun-in-the-oven tweet, put out by TLC.

One Facebook post touched my mommy heart, and raised a poignantly perceptive point. 

 “I wish you would have touched on Robyn stealing yet another moment from one of the other family members. As a mom of two Air Force girls I know how much those phone calls home mean. Taking his thunder was so wrong.”

Janelle was emotional when the clearly homesick Hunter checked in, seemingly just cleared to talk to his family, after his beginning phase at The Air Force Academy Prep School.  Hunter’s call was eclipsed by the gender reveal, and Janelle and Hunter’s obviously emotional states were all but ignored.  The Facebook comment indeed raised a great point, and I wish I had called attention to it myself. 

The countdown is on folks…ALL will be revealed…or at least whatever fishy tale the Browns and TLC, have decided to tell.  Stay tuned.
