‘The Walking Dead’ Removes Steven Yeun From Opening Credits — Does This Mean The End For Glenn?
Say it ain’t so! Steven Yeun aka Glenn on “The Walking Dead,” was removed from the opening credits on last Sunday’s episode; further fueling rumors that Glenn is gone for good following his “dealth.”
When viewers last saw Glenn, he was on the ground, surrounded by zombies with guts getting eaten. Fans were outraged and horrified at the thought BUT is Glenn really dead? Showrunner Scott Gimple has said we will see Glenn again. “Dear fans of The Walking Dead,” Gimple said in a statement last week.

“This is a hard story to tell, and when we were planning to tell it, we know our friends at The Walking Dead would be talking to you about it, and we knew we should say something about it, lest our silence say something we didn’t mean to say or not say. So I’ll say this: In some way, we will see Glenn, some version of Glenn, or parts of Glenn again, either in flashback, or in the current story, to help complete the story.” The character wasn’t included in Talking Dead’s in memoriam tribute either.
He’s been spotted on set with new characters, like Jesus (Tom Payne). Are all those set photos just an elaborate ruse to throw off fans and paparazzi? That’s dedication, to say the least.
Characters have cheated death numerous times on the show by covering themselves in blood and entrails, rendering them all but invisible to walkers. If the walkers tore Nicholas’ body apart, the resulting carnage could shield Glenn, enough so that he could escape.
In “The Walking Dead” graphic novels, Glenn does not die at the hands of walkers, but rather one of the living. Negan, the leader of a vicious group called The Saviors, murders Glenn with a baseball bat. While still a grisly end, fans of the show are hoping Glenn will live to die another day.
Alive? Dead? What do you think?
“The Walking Dead” airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
