EXCLUSIVE: Carole Radziwill’s Alleged Ghostwriter Identified?

Carole Radziwill is an accomplished writer….ask anyone who watches The Real Housewives of New York. During Season 6, Aviva Drescher shared her suspicion that Carole used a ghostwriter to compose her touching and popular memoir, What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship, and Love. 

Carole was aghast, and irate to be accused of not penning every heartfelt syllable herself, although a journalist utilizing a ghostwriter to pull off a successful memoir, is hardly shocking.

As reported, an insider recently dished that Luann de Lesseps revived the touchy subject, during the filming of the currently airing Season 7 reunion series. Luann supposedly has the “word on the street” details, and Carole is now demanding that Bravo delete the exposing dialogue from the reunion footage. 

The source spilled, “LuAnn has the name and all the details. It is Carole’s ex sister in-law, who is now divorced from her brother. LuAnn knows the name and all the details because the lady is now ghost writing Kelly Bensimon’s book too.”

Supposedly, the ghostwriter who is penning Kelly Bensimon’s book is named Teresa DiFalco, and is indeed Carole’s ex sister in-law. 

On July 21st, DiFalco tweeted that she was in Sylvia Beach, Oregon, #writingstuff, @CaroleRadziwill.

The date of the tweet aligns with the period during which Carole tweeted an Instagram linked photo from the same location, enjoying her time away from NYC.

A casual sisterly trip, or perhaps a working vacation, holed away across the country, with an editor’s deadline in mind? After all, some #writingstuff was going on, with @CaroleRadziwill.  Many readers believe that a ghostwriter is a no-brainer, due to a contrast in proficiency between her first and second projects. Could DiFalco be the ringer who will bring the third book back up to par? Carole tweeted the same day as DiFalco’s revealing quip, sharing her love for her craft.

The #RHONY star is indeed a storyteller…but is DiFalco the “story writer?” Radziwill commented that using a ghostwriter is “an industry standard for people who get book deals…there’s no shame in it,”  during the Season 6  “Bookgate” smackdown with Drescher. A 2014 Forbes piece speaks of Ted Sorenson, a ghostwriter who was connected to a family that Radziwill is proud to call her own. The piece states,

“Sorensen was not merely President Kennedy’s ghostwriter, who was responsible for so many of Kennedy’s most famous phrases. Kennedy also did not keep it secret that Sorensen was one of his key advisors and his chief speechwriter. So, it seems reasonable and ethical to me that even when Sorensen wrote the words, Kennedy rightly claimed Sorensen’s as his own because the words reflected his truth.”

So chin up Carole! You are in great company, and ghosts are nothing to be afraid of!!
