Inside Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Funeral: Laid to Rest Next to Whitney Houston — Details
Bobbi Kristina Brown, the 22 year-old daughter of Whitney Houston, has now been laid to rest next to her mother in New Jersey. And though this was a tragic end to a young, vibrant life, there is some comfort knowing that Bobbi Kristina is once again beside her mother. Will there be upcoming criminal and civil court activities to follow? Unfortunately, yes. But the burial was the final opportunity for family and friends to say goodbye.
Invited guests flew to New Jersey after an emotionally charged weekend at the funeral in Alpharetta, Georgia, when Bobby Brown’s sister, Leolah Brown, was escorted out after an outburst.

At the burial, fans gathered at the front entrance of Fairview Cemetery, hours before the service. Streets were closed and a “heavy police presence allowed only foot traffic near the cemetery.” When Bobbi Kristina’s gold hearse arrived, grandmother Cissy Houston was in the car immediately following it, a somber expression on her face.
Mark Behar, a former bodyguard for Whitney Houston told People magazine, “Bobby seemed out of it.”
Pallbearers wore pink Converse sneakers; pop singer, Monica, sang; and family friend Tyler Perry was in attendance. Nick Gordon was reportedly “banned” from any of the services. After the burial ceremony, family and friends gathered at The Estate in Buckhead, security allowing only invited guests inside.
Following that, some of the guests were taken by bus to a garden party at the home of Pat and Gary Houston. Some reportedly chanted, “Krissi, Krissi, Krissi” before going inside. A guest told People magazine, “The mood was much lighter than the funeral; the gathering was a celebration for Krissi.”
A photo of Bobbi Kristina‘s body, lying in her casket, has been sold to a media outlet, according to TMZ and the bidding soared into the six figures. Someone snapped a photo of BK during the viewing, which took place the day before the funeral. The Browns were worried the Houstons might pull this stunt, since it happened at Whitney Houston’s funeral in 2012.
