Bobbi Kristina Brown to Be Buried Next to Mom Whitney Houston & Tribute To Bobbi Kristina
After five long months of battling for her life, Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away yesterday (Sunday, July 26).
Her mom, Whitney Houston, tragically died three years ago. Following Brown’s Atlanta, Georgia funeral service, mother and daughter will be reunited once again. Brown’s body will be flown to New Jersey to be buried next to Houston’s according to Entertainment Tonight.
Whitney Houston was laid to rest on Feb. 19, 2012 in an emotional and televised ceremony. The bleak situation Brown found herself in was an eerie repeat of what had happened to her mother, almost three years earlier, to the day. She had been found eight days earlier in her bathtub at the Beverly Hilton hotel ahead of Clive Davis’ annual Grammys party.
Brown was found in her bathtub by a friend, Max Lomas, and her partner Nick Gordon, on January 31, and taken to a local hospital. She was later moved to Emory Hospital, then a rehab facility in late March. There is an ongoing criminal investigation surrounding what happened prior to Brown’s longtime partner Nick Gordon finding her in the bathtub.
Houston’s official fan page posted a tribute to Bobbi Kristina on July 26, writing,
“It is hard to say goodbye. On Sunday, July 26, Bobbi Kristina Brown made her transition peacefully. The family thanks everyone for their loving thoughts and prayers. As Bobbi Kristina would say: ‘The wind is behind me and the sun is in my face.”
