Mary Cosby’s Son Robert Jr. Arrested Again After Violating a Protective Order and Resisting Police!
Mary Cosby seemed happy at BravoCon — but behind the scenes, her son, Robert Cosby Jr., was being held in jail without bail after a second arrest this year.

While the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star enjoyed the Vegas spotlight, police were dealing with a far more serious situation involving her 22-year-old son. According to authorities, Robert Jr. was taken into custody after allegedly violating a protective order and engaging in what officers described as violent and destructive behavior.
Robert Jr.’s latest arrest happened on November 9, when he allegedly showed up at his wife Alexiana’s parents’ home, despite an active protective order she took out against him following his previous arrest in September. At the time, he had been taken into custody for criminal trespassing after allegedly trying to break into the home through a dog door.

According to a police affidavit obtained by Starcasm, Alexiana’s 12-year-old brother called their parents after seeing Robert outside and hearing “loud banging noises.” When Alexiana’s father checked the security cameras, he allegedly saw Robert kicking his mother-in-law’s Mercedes-Benz.
The parents called 911, and officers quickly responded. When they arrived, police say Robert refused to comply — setting off a chase that escalated into a physical altercation. “Officers pursued and engaged the suspect, who actively resisted arrest by pulling away, kicking, and fighting with officers,” the affidavit stated. “The victim reported that at one point, he observed the suspect bite one of the officers, causing the officer to yell out in pain and order the suspect to stop.”

The situation reportedly deteriorated to the point where Robert’s father-in-law joined officers in trying to restrain him. Once subdued and handcuffed, police said they found significant property damage at the home, including a shattered window, damaged siding, and a rock thrown through the window of the Mercedes. Officers also claimed there is body-cam footage of Robert admitting he knowingly violated the protective order.
Robert was charged with five counts: two counts of violating a pre-trial protective order, criminal mischief over $5,000, assault on a peace officer, and failure to stop at an officer’s command. He is currently being held without bail due to what the affidavit describes as an “elevated risk of committing a violent crime.”

Mary had opened up just days earlier on RHOSLC about Robert Jr.’s ongoing struggles after rehab, revealing that he’d recently relapsed and arrived “high” before church, which left her “crushed” but still hopeful that “his time will come.”
During the episode, she spoke about trying to protect him while he worked to find his spiritual footing, as Robert shared that he leaned on God as his higher power and admitted many of the people he knew from treatment had already relapsed. Although he told his mother he doesn’t like forcing religion on others, Mary said she believes reopening the church will support both Robert and anyone else “in need” as he continues searching for stability on his journey.
