Porsha Williams’ $7M Mansion Hit With Lien Over Ex-Husband Simon Guobadia’s Massive Debt!
Porsha Williams’ $7 million estate has been slapped with a lien over her ex-husband’s staggering six-figure debt.
According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Simon’s former lawyer, Onyema Farrey, filed an attorney’s lien on June 10 against the $7.3 million Georgia estate he once shared with ex-wife Porsha Williams. The 15,284-square-foot mansion boasts five bedrooms and eight bathrooms and is currently occupied by the Real Housewives of Atlanta star, who was awarded possession in their split.
The lien claims Simon Guobadia, 61, still owes a staggering $205,884.25 for legal services tied to the pair’s high-profile divorce. Porsha, 44, filed for divorce in February 2024 after 15 months of marriage, requesting that the court uphold the couple’s prenuptial agreement. Simon fought back, arguing that the agreement should be tossed because Porsha allegedly misrepresented her career plans.
“[Williams] failed to disclose that she would return to her employment on The Real Housewives of Atlanta as a cast member,” he alleged. “Instead of disclosing this material fact, the Wife made it very clear to [Guobadia] (and the public) that she was leaving the television show and not returning.”
Just weeks after filing, Porsha sought temporary exclusive use of their marital home — a request the court approved. She has remained in the residence ever since. By the time their divorce was finalized on June 11, Simon had been deported to Nigeria over immigration issues. The judge ultimately sided with Williams, ruling that the prenup was enforceable.
“The Court finds that the Prenuptial Agreement between the parties contains all essential elements of an enforceable contract,” the order read. It also noted, “the Court finds that [Williams] has been a reality TV celebrity for years, which was well known to Husband at the time of negotiating the Prenuptial Agreement, and [Guobadia] nevertheless married Wife with this knowledge.”
The judge further dismissed Simon’s claims about Williams’ TV comeback, stating, “The Court does not find merit in [Guobadia’s] argument that [Williams’] desire to return to reality television or employment in the future constitutes a non-disclosure of material fact and misrepresentation, as these terms are not mentioned whatsoever in the parties’ Prenuptial Agreement.”
Simon also alleged that his company, Simcol, collapsed financially after he was detained by ICE, claiming its value plunged from $296 million to nothing.
The court was unconvinced, writing, “The Court finds that [Guobadia’s] testimony is inconsistent and lacks credibility, especially given [Guobadia’s] testimony that prior to the ICE detention, he resided outside of the U.S. for more than one-half of the year and was able to successfully run and operate the company internationally.”
The order went on to say his claim “that almost $297 million dollars in business value vanished entirely over the course of a few months, without recourse or recovery, strains credibility.”
Under the prenup, Simon must pay Williams $40,000 a month in spousal support for 14 months, turn over the keys to the Georgia estate, and cover her $224,000 legal bill. Porsha will have 36 months to refinance the property in her name or sell it, and she also retains her 2021 Rolls Royce and all other vehicles titled in her name.
