Tamar Braxton is making it crystal clear: her long-standing tension with Kandi Burruss is far from resolved — and she’s not holding back.
The Love & War singer joined The Nene Leakes Show this week and used the moment to unleash some strong words for her longtime frenemy, Kandi Burruss, who rose to fame as a member of Xscape and a key figure on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
“Kandi, if you’re watching, and we know you’re watching, the thing is this: We don’t know. We don’t have an issue with you. We’re not jealous of you. We actually celebrate your success. No, seriously. But you got to be a better person,” Tamar declared, looking directly into the camera while NeNe looked on with a smirk.
Tamar then doubled down on her frustrations, accusing Kandi of stirring up drama behind the scenes and painting an inauthentic public image.
“And the reason why you gotta be a better person is because it’s not fair to the people who have been following our careers, knowing that you are doing things behind the scenes, knowing that you are lying on people,” Tamar said.
“No, it’s not fair. It’s not fair. Because we like you, we cheerlead for you.”
Tamar also responded to critics who have previously labeled her a “hater” in her ongoing disputes with Kandi, including past jabs at Kandi Burruss’ various business ventures. “But for you to deliberately use the public’s opinion to manipulate them into thinking that people are really coming after you when we’re not, that’s not right,” she continued.
“To fall into that, that’s not fair. Because you know, I didn’t do nothing to you. I apologized to that girl in that conversation 15 times.”
NeNe, who has had her own ups and downs with Kandi over the years, chimed in to say she’d be open to sitting down with the Xscape star to talk things out. But Tamar made it clear she’s not interested — unless Kandi comes forward and admits to dishonesty.
While Kandi has yet to publicly address Tamar’s latest remarks, the interview has quickly reignited interest in the stars’ longtime beef, which has spilled across social media, interviews, and reality TV moments for years.
