Lateasha “Sweet Tea” Lunceford Exits Married to Medicine and Reveals Why She’s Done After Explosive Season!

Married to Medicine will return for Season 12 — but it’ll do so without Lateasha “Sweet Tea” Lunceford.

Sweet Tea

The Air Force veteran, who joined the Bravo franchise in Season 10 alongside her now-husband Dr. Gregory Lunceford (ex-husband of series vet Quad Webb), confirmed she will not be returning for the upcoming season. The decision comes after a turbulent run filled with heated arguments, divided cast loyalties, and behind-the-scenes tension that spilled over into the Season 11 reunion.

In a YouTube Live stream on May 7, Lateasha addressed fan speculation about her departure.

When one viewer commented that they were “glad” she wouldn’t be returning, the Bravo newcomer took a moment to set the record straight. “Know that I’m not a quitter, never ever been a quitter, and I never ran away from anybody, just putting that out there,” she said candidly. “But it is what it is.”

Reflecting on her time with the show, Lateasha didn’t hold back. “There are better things in store for me. I think that platform was what it was for me at the moment, and I think God has something better, and I’m going down the right path,” she shared.

Though she described her experience as “foul,” she stopped short of naming names or detailing what prompted her exit.

Sweet Tea’s time on Married to Medicine was short but far from uneventful. Her arrival reignited tensions with Quad Webb, leading to a season-long feud that frequently left the cast — and viewers — feeling divided. The drama boiled over during a Season 11 cast trip when Dr. Greg and Quad’s current boyfriend nearly came to blows.

For the remainder of the season, the exes and their respective partners stayed as far apart as possible. Though Sweet Tea ultimately showed up to the reunion — after publicly expressing hesitation about attending — very little resolution was reached. Her confirmation that she won’t be returning adds another layer to speculation that producers may be leaning back toward long-time cast member Quad as the show prepares for its next chapter.

With Bravo moving forward on Season 12, it remains to be seen how Lateasha’s absence will shift the dynamic — and who, if anyone, will fill the space she leaves behind.
