Brittany Eady Denies Gun Threat on RHOA, Says She Never Had a Weapon Around Kenya Moore!

Brittany Eady is clearing the air after her headline-making debut on The Real Housewives of Atlanta turned explosive.

During her recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the Bravo newcomer directly addressed the controversy stemming from a tense moment with Kenya Moore, which aired in Season 16, Episode 4. The drama escalated when Brit, during a heated exchange with Kenya at an event, claimed to have a pistol — a remark that left both cast and fans shocked.

“I never had a gun,” Brittany firmly told Andy. “I never had a gun in my possession at all.”

Andy backed up Brit’s claim, revealing that Bravo launched an internal investigation after the incident aired. Had the network discovered that Brit actually had a weapon while filming, it would have been a serious breach of their policy. According to Andy, the investigation concluded that Brittany did not possess a gun at any point during filming, allowing her to remain on the cast.

Despite being cleared, Brit admitted she hasn’t been able to shake the incident.

“I still beat myself up just the fact that I allowed her to trigger me,” she said, visibly emotional. But even as she accepted fault, Brittany offered some insight into what may have contributed to her response.

“It was the heat of the moment,” she said. “I’m in a rough neighborhood. I’m always used to having my husband by my side. I felt attacked, and I was triggered by Kenya.”

While Brittany tried to apologize with a heartfelt card and a $250 bouquet of flowers at Kenya’s spa grand opening, it wasn’t enough to halt the fallout. Kenya ignored the apology and went on to unveil graphic poster boards featuring images of Brit, a move that would ultimately lead to Bravo announcing they would cease filming with Kenya for the remainder of the season.

Following the airing of the explosive episode, Kenya took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her reaction and call out what she viewed as a lack of support from the network.

“Being the longest-standing RHOA member threatened with whips and pistols by a newcomer 3 weeks into filming,” Kenya posted. “Seeing this obsession play out is scary. I wanted protection and assurances that the threats would be taken seriously. I may be strong but I’m not bulletproof.”

This mirrors what the former Miss USA previously shared when she confirmed her departure from the show last year.

“My daughter and I will continue to thrive in a non-toxic environment where we feel appreciated and most importantly, protected,” she wrote at the time.

Although Brittany acknowledged that her pistol comment was “wrong,” the damage had already been done. Kenya’s dramatic exit and Bravo’s decision to suspend her filming has since sparked fierce debate online, with fans choosing sides between the longtime RHOA staple and the outspoken newcomer.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
