Lisa Rinna Describes Andy Cohen As A Pimp ‘I Give My Power To Andy Cohen’
Lisa Rinna may have left The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills more than a year ago, but her time on the long-running Bravo series continues to follow her.
In a new episode of her podcast Let’s Not Talk About The Husband, the former soap star and reality TV personality opened up about her exit, her dynamic with Bravo executive Andy Cohen, and what she wishes she had done differently.
Lisa Rinna Opens Up About Andy Cohen Interview
During her podcast episode, Lisa reflected on her appearance on Andy Cohen Live in February and how it unexpectedly brought back old emotions from her eight years on RHOBH.
“What happened to me, I believe is, the minute I walked into that space, I [fell] into a trope of Housewife to Big Daddy,” she explained.
Lisa, 60, said that sitting down with Andy caused her to “revert” back to a version of herself she thought she had grown past.
“I fall back into a role that I played, I believe, for eight years, where I give my power to Andy Cohen, who is my boss,” she continued. “Just dynamically, that is where I went right back to. Almost like a little girl going back to the role she plays in her family.”
She added that the experience prompted a moment of self-reflection.
“I was able to clock it and look at my reaction in the moment and how I really took on a different role than I am [in] right now,” Lisa said. “Two and a half years later, I’m in a different place, but I reverted back to that old place.”
Her Thoughts on Leaving RHOBH
Lisa Rinna first joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2014 for the show’s fifth season and quickly became one of the franchise’s most outspoken and controversial cast members.
She announced her departure from the series in January 2023, shortly after the Season 12 reunion aired. Her resignation letter was later made public.
Earlier this year, Lisa made headlines when she compared RHOBH to the “f**king Titanic,” implying that the show was in need of saving.
Soon after, she appeared on Andy Cohen’s radio show and offered an apology, though she didn’t walk back her opinions entirely.
Now, Lisa is reflecting on the moment she left the series — and what she would do differently.
“I wish I would’ve now that I look back on it,” she said on her podcast. “I was going to do it on camera, and I wish I would’ve done that.”
According to Lisa, her plan was to quit the show during the taping of the Season 12 reunion, but she ultimately chose not to do so on camera.
Looking Back, Moving Forward
Though her relationship with Bravo may be complicated, Lisa made it clear that she’s in a different headspace now — one that allows her to better understand her own reactions.
“But what I really realized and what I’m trying to say is: Think about in life when you go back into situations that maybe either held trauma or you have a reaction in some way,” she explained.
The RHOBH alum, who has remained a central figure in pop culture conversations even after her Bravo departure, encouraged her listeners to be aware of the way past experiences can shape current behaviors.
Lisa concluded the episode by saying that the process of reflection has helped her grow beyond who she once was during her time on the show.
