Alec Baldwin’s Family Demands Salary Increase To Film Season 2 of ‘The Baldwins’
Alec and Hilaria Baldwin’s children are already making demands when it comes to their reality TV future.
The couple’s seven kids reportedly want higher pay before agreeing to film a potential second season of their TLC reality series, The Baldwins.
Alec Baldwin Jokes About His Kids’ Negotiations
While attending the grand reopening of Planet Hollywood in Times Square on Tuesday, Alec, 66, joked that his children are already renegotiating their contracts — before the network has even confirmed a renewal.
“They’re already renegotiating their contract,” Alec quipped.
“They want more money — they want a lot more money — so we’ll see what happens,” he added with a laugh.
Although TLC has not officially announced a second season, it’s clear that the Baldwin family is embracing their time on reality television.
A Full House: Inside the Baldwin Family
Alec and Hilaria, 41, share seven children: daughter Carmen, 11, son Rafael, 9, son Leonardo, 8, son Romeo, 6, son Eduardo, 4, daughter Marilu, 4, and daughter Ilaria, 2.
Alec is also father to daughter Ireland Baldwin, 29, from his previous marriage to Kim Basinger.
Life in the Baldwin household is anything but quiet, and Alec admits his children prefer spending time together rather than socializing outside their home.
“They have friends and go to playdates and this and that, but they would rather stay home with each other,” Alec shared.
“They operate as a pack,” he added, explaining that his children are very close and genuinely enjoy being together.
Filming a Reality Show During a Legal Battle
The first season of The Baldwins, which premiered last month, was filmed during what Alec describes as a unique and intense time for their family.
Production began shortly before he was set to stand trial for involuntary manslaughter in connection with the October 2021 accidental shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his Western film, Rust.
Alec has maintained that he did not pull the trigger and was unaware that the gun was loaded with live ammunition.
He pleaded not guilty, and the case was ultimately dismissed in July 2024, but he has since spoken about suffering from PTSD due to the tragic incident.
Keeping It Real: Alec on the Family’s TV Experience
Despite the emotional challenges surrounding his legal troubles, Alec insists the show accurately represents their everyday lives.
“When I think of the reality show, many things occur to me after the fact,” he told reporters on Tuesday.
“When we were doing it, it was a bit of a unique time for us, but afterward, I realized that that’s who we are,” he explained.
Alec also emphasized that nothing on The Baldwins is staged or exaggerated, insisting that the series is “pretty authentic about how we live our lives.”
As for whether his children will get the pay raise they’re asking for? That remains to be seen.
