Crystal Kung Minkoff Claims Kyle Richards ACTS DIFFERENT Off-Camera and Questions If She’s Fake!

Crystal Kung Minkoff is opening up about a tense moment with Kyle Richards on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, revealing she was “scared” when Kyle unexpectedly called her “manipulative” during an on-camera argument.

The former RHOBH star, who was let go after three seasons, also shared what happened when the cameras stopped rolling—and how Kyle’s demeanor completely changed. Meanwhile Denise Richards weighed in on the situation, questioning whether cast fights are genuine or just manufactured for drama.

“[Kyle and I] had this scene, and she was like, ‘I think you’re manipulative,’” Crystal recalled on her Humble Brag podcast. “And I was like, what? I was so scared.” According to Crystal, the fight stemmed from a disagreement involving Sutton Stracke, though she wasn’t expecting Kyle to come after her directly.

“I wasn’t fighting with Kyle … I was fighting with someone else, and [Kyle] was probably defending her and trying to get stuff out of me,” she explained. “I didn’t think she was gonna come for me.”

However, Crystal claimed that Kyle’s attitude shifted the moment filming wrapped. “Then we walk out—you know, you take off your mics—and she’s like, ‘Oh my God! Are you gonna go to Paris this night?’” Crystal revealed.

“And I was like … what is happening? She was so nice and bubbly all of a sudden.” The sudden shift left Crystal questioning the authenticity of their arguments. “So for me, every time we were fighting, it felt so … I don’t know if it’s fake.”

Denise Richards, who famously clashed with Kyle during her two-season run, agreed that the dynamic can be “confusing.”

She speculated that some RHOBH feuds might be exaggerated for entertainment. “I don’t know if they were really upset about stuff [or] were they trying to create drama so that they’re on camera? I have no idea,” Denise admitted. “And [then they] resolve the fight and find something else to fight about. Because otherwise, it gets boring.”

Denise, who has since returned to Bravo with her spinoff Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, which premiered on March 4, is no stranger to reality TV conflict.
