Leva Bonaparte’s New Bar HIT with Racism Allegations as She FIRES BACK at Critics!
Leva Bonaparte is speaking out after her and her husband, Lamar Bonaparte, were hit with accusations of racial discrimination at their new bar, Zachary’s Daiquiris.
The Southern Charm star, 45, and her husband came under fire after several negative reviews surfaced, with patrons claiming that a newly enforced dress code unfairly targeted Black men. Now, Leva and Lamar are pushing back against what they call “false” and “harmful” allegations.
The controversy began when a patron named Joseph Bass left a detailed Google review claiming he and his group, which included several Black men, were subjected to a sudden dress code change after they had already been seated.
“After we got our drinks and sat at a table outside, the bouncer came out and stood directly next to a group of Black men and informed the line that there was now a ‘new’ dress code that prohibited ripped jeans, athletic wear, and Jordans, which all of the men were wearing,” Joseph wrote in his now-viral review. He alleged that before the sudden change, other patrons wearing similar attire had already been let inside, suggesting that the rule was enforced selectively.
“We confronted the bouncer who made the comment and were told that it was a comment from management. Very disappointing,” Joseph added.
His review quickly gained traction online, sparking a wave of criticism and boycott calls against the bar. Many social media users accused the establishment of racial profiling, with some vowing never to visit.
“A ‘new’ dress code prohibiting Jordans? Ew,” one person wrote. Another added, “I refuse to spend my money somewhere that doesn’t welcome us.” Amid growing backlash, Lamar released a fiery statement on the bar’s official Instagram page, calling the accusations “entirely false” and slamming those spreading the claims.
“This is the first and last time you’ll hear from me on social media … I live in the real world and I deal with real people,” Lamar wrote. He continued, “To be accused of racial profiling by a non-POC young TikToker is very 2025! For those who want to follow this ‘organized propaganda’ that we are a ‘Whites Only’ establishment, please kindly KISS MY A**.”
Lamar insisted that their grand opening was a diverse event, attended by “all walks of life, ethnic backgrounds, and genders.”
“To attempt to take a local business down over TikTok gossip is appalling,” he added. “And no, this isn’t an apology because we did nothing wrong. We have a dress code and it’s enforced AFTER 8 PM. If you don’t like the way we do business, DON’T COME.” Leva also backed her husband’s statement, reposting it on her Instagram Story.
Despite Lamar’s strong denial, critics weren’t convinced. A TikToker named Sarah Baus, who claims to be the wife of the original reviewer, doubled down on the allegations, stating, “The bouncer made the announcement about the dress code while standing next to the only group of Black men in line. The rest of us were in disbelief.”
She further alleged that once the group left, “half the line disappeared with them.” Sarah also claimed that after her husband’s Google review went viral, it was mysteriously removed, and a new business page for Zachary’s Daiquiris suddenly appeared online.
In response, Leva dismissed Sarah’s claims as a ploy to “go viral” and called her accusations “blatant lies.” The Southern Charm couple has made it clear they have no plans to apologize or change their policies, but the controversy has only continued to grow.
