‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ Star Keith Allen Defends Co-Stars and Talks Spin-Off

Keith Allen, the laid-back deckhand from Below Deck Sailing Yacht, is finally opening up about his time on the show as Season 5 wraps up.

While Keith Allen kept a relatively low profile throughout the season, staying mostly out of the drama except for a few notable moments with Danni Warren and Daisy Kellier, Keith’s candid appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen gave fans a deeper glimpse into his true personality. Keith Defends Chase Lemacks, Explains Tensions with Gary King

One of the key topics on WWHL was Keith’s relationship with his fellow deckhand, Chase Lemacks, and his perspective on Gary King. Andy Cohen wasted no time asking Keith about the alleged tension between Chase and Gary.

“No, I had a great time working with Chase, but I can see why Chase and Gary would butt heads,” Keith revealed, deflecting any suggestion that working with Chase was difficult. Keith’s response made it clear that he had no issues with Chase, but acknowledged the natural friction that arose between Chase and Gary, two very different personalities.

When asked about Gary’s feelings for Daisy, Keith confessed that he didn’t realize the depth of Gary’s emotions toward the chief stew until after the season aired. “He lied through his teeth,” Keith said, referring to an earlier conversation where he had asked Gary about his feelings for Daisy. At the time, Gary denied having any romantic interest, but Keith later realized the situation was far more complicated than he originally thought. “I didn’t realize until watching it now that it was as strong as it was.”

Keith was also asked about his interactions with both Daisy and Danni during the season, particularly in relation to Gary’s alleged interference. When Andy Cohen asked about Gary’s role in preventing Keith from pursuing Daisy, Keith was quick to downplay the notion.

“I’d give him about a six or a seven,” Keith joked, referring to how much Gary “c**k blocked” his potential romance with Daisy. “But I think at the end of the day, we achieve what we want to achieve, and we got to know each other and we had a great season together.”

Keith admitted that he and Daisy did have some plans for after the season, though he remained tight-lipped about the details. Still, his relaxed demeanor suggested that whatever happened between him and Daisy was on their terms, not influenced by Gary’s actions. “At the end of the day, he didn’t really c**k block me at all,” Keith added with a smile, clearly unbothered by the drama surrounding him.

Danni’s Drama: Keith’s Take on the Tip Situation

Things took a slightly more serious turn when Keith addressed Danni’s behavior during a particular night out with Detox and some friends. Fans will recall that Danni took issue with Daisy’s drinking, particularly when Daisy had more than two drinks during the night out. Keith made it clear that he wasn’t a fan of Danni’s actions, especially when it came to relishing in another crew member’s misfortune. “That annoyed me the most,” Keith shared, revealing that this behavior was a big part of why he wasn’t particularly fond of Danni.
