Teddi Mellencamp has moved in with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards amid her messy divorce from Edwin Arroyave.
Teddi Mellencamp has a new roommate — her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Kyle Richards. The 43-year-old revealed during the premiere episode of her Diamonds in the Rough podcast with Erika Jayne that she has moved into Richards’ home while navigating her divorce from Edwin Arroyave.
“So I live at Kyle’s,” Teddi casually announced, prompting an astonished reaction from Erika, who exclaimed, “Do you really? Holy s–t!”
Teddi went on to joke about her new living arrangement, explaining that she now occupies the glam room in Kyle’s house. When Erika asked if that’s where Teddi was staying, she quipped, “That’s my bedroom now, bitch!”
A House Full of Estranged Housewives
Kyle, who is also estranged from her husband, Mauricio Umansky, has been sharing her home with Teddi while both women adjust to their new realities. Kyle’s husband moved out of their family home earlier this year, leaving plenty of room for Teddi to settle in.
Teddi explained that her current arrangement stems from a “nesting” setup she has with Arroyave, where their children remain in the family home while the parents take turns staying there.
“So I just zip on over [to Kyle’s]. It’s close. It’s easy. She cooks — sometimes,” Teddi shared, adding that the situation “works out really well for the kids.”
Teddi’s Divorce Drama
Teddi filed for divorce from Arroyave last month after 13 years of marriage. The former couple shares three children: Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 4. The split turned scandalous after news broke of Teddi’s months-long affair with her married horse trainer.
In the wake of the controversy, Teddi has shifted her stance on custody arrangements, now agreeing to joint legal and physical custody of her children with Arroyave.
Teddi Apologizes
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum took to Instagram to share her thoughts after revealing that she had an affair with her married horse trainer, Simon Schroeder. In her candid post, Mellencamp, 43, admitted to her faults, saying she has “cried, mourned, and apologized” for her role in the breakdown of her marriage.
“The only person who can change your life is you,” she wrote alongside a video of herself working out. “We have two options, pretend to be a victim or stand up and fight for yourself. We all deserve peace and happiness.” She continued, “I have taken accountability and apologized for things I have done wrong. Now, I have given myself permission to grow and thrive.”
Teddi also explained why she has chosen to remain mostly silent about the rumors and media attention surrounding her split.
“I have decided to not pander to the media and tell my side because in the big scheme of things [clickbait] means nothing, and of course there are three sides to every story,” she wrote. “How I can stand up and show up for the people that do [matter] does mean something. This is called being an adult. This is what saying it with my full chest means.”

As Teddi and Kyle navigate their respective separations, Teddi suggested that she and Erika Jayne could record their podcast from Kyle’s house. Erika agreed, noting that “the house is empty” now that Kyle’s estranged husband has moved out.
